COMPOSITION

Since I was a child, I have a lot of chances for to improve my skills like a leader. I have

to start saying that I'm not the best leader in the world, but in all this years I see in me a

kind of skills for to be a leader, and all I have to do is to try to improve it.

When I was in the kindergarden I was part of the marching band, in where I was the

only girl among all that boys. This was my first contact with leadership, because in this

group they choose me like a kind of coordinator, and I try to leadership some trial but,

certainly I lacked experience, so my mom takes the leadership of this group, however it

was a great experience for me. Another important thing is what, since I remember, I

liked to leadership the games with all my little friends, I always like to say what do

should we play, and where can we play, and almost all the time they follow me. So, in

this case, I think that one of my skills like a leadership is the group management, and I

consider that this is one of the most important skills for a leader, because they have to

know how guide a group, maybe not for his personal interest like me in some cases, but

must take for the common good.

Also in my childhood, I have the chance for to be the head of group in my class in the

Elementary School and Secondary School. Most of my classmates and teacher choose

me because I was (and I still doing) very organized girl. So this ability make the

difference when they choose the head of group, and also, make of me someone in who

trust. As head of group, I organized a study tour. This chance, give more experience in

my leadership because I have to foresee all incidents that could happen.

Finally, and this is the most important experience for me like a leader, is when I went to

COBAO, me and another friends make a little enterprise in where we sold balloons for

many occasions, as graduations and parties. The important situation on this experience

is that, unlike other times, we make this alone, without help of our parents or teachers,

we save (each one) our investment, and in a couple of month we earn a lot of money.

The important thing here is, that as we were alone, we have to learn to organize

ourselves and work in team. And I learn to do it, so I think that this is another of my

skills like a leader.

As a final comment, I like to say that with this essay I've noticed that I have many skills

that make a leader, and I had not seen during class. But also to, I've noticed that I have

a lot of things to improve like my low tolerance for frustration and maybe my bad humor

when I feel stressed. So my purpose for this class is try to improve all this deficiencies

and make of me, someone who can be a leader in each part where I be.
