Information security is essential• The Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM, under the Ministry of Defence) is the cross-sectoral professional and supervisory authority within the protective security services. It includes NORCERT, our Computer Emergency Response Team.NSM’s purpose is to counter threats to the independence and security of the realm and other vital national security interests, primarily espionage, sabotage or acts of terrorism. Protective security measures shall not be more intrusive than strictly necessary.

•FAD has no coordinating role in a crisis, but the responsibility to coordinate preventive activity, promoting a culture of security, and has established NORSIS in Gjøvik for this purpose.
