Hotel Accommodation

Your accommodation at one of our partner hotels in Dubai will be sponsored by ICEF for 3 nights from Monday afternoon, February 12, 2018 until Thursday morning, February 15, 2018 - provided you actively participate in the programme. Agents from Abu Dhabi or other Emirates will be offered 2 nights of accommodation only, from Monday afternoon, February 12, 2018 until Wednesday morning, February 14, 2018. Your presence at the ICEF Dubai Workshop will be expected from 9:00 to 19:00 on February 13 and from 9:00 to 17:00 on February 14. A formal hotel booking confirmation will be sent to you approx. 4-6 weeks prior to the event. ICEF will sponsor one room per agency, unless otherwise stated.

ICEF will allocate a hotel for you and can unfortunately not accept requests or make changes once the final booking is confirmed. If you intend to arrive before February 12 or wish to prolong your stay in Dubai beyond February 15, please note that you will be responsible for the costs of any extra nights booked outside the workshop period. We will send you a booking form together with your hotel confirmation.

Should you need to leave the event early, please inform us of this well in advance. In accordance with the ►Agent Terms & Conditions, please note that clients leaving the event early without prior notification will be subject to an Early Departure Fee equivalent to one night´s accommodation at your allocated hotel´s prevailing rate.

All additional costs for the use telephone, mini-bar, early check-in / late check-out, extra nights outside the workshop period, parking, laundry, room service, etc. will be at your own expense. The hotel will therefore ask you for your credit card details upon check-in.

Capitol Hotel – DubaiCheck in time is 14:00, check out time at 12:00 noon. The Capitol Hotel provides visa support at 575 AED, plus a refundable security deposit of 1000 AED. A service visa is chargeable at 725 AED for Nigerian or Cameroonian nationality and other African countries. The original visa is available at an additional 150 AED. Visa Requirements

The Department of Naturalization and Residence in Dubai has introduced a visa on arrival facility for 46 nationalities.Citizens of the following countries will have a 30 day visit visa stamped directly into their passports at the port of entry, without the need to apply for a visa prior to the arrival in the UAE: Andorra, Australia, Brunei, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Hong Kong SAR, Cyprus, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Vatican City.Citizens of the following countries qualify for a 90 days visit visa: Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Malta, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.

Arrival in Dubai

Dubai International Airport (DXB)Taxis:

Please proceed to the designated taxi pick-up points outside the arrivals hall. The duration of the journey by taxi from the airport to the hotels is approximately 25 minutes. The fare by taxi is around AED 40. Please note that there is a surcharge of AED 25 on taxis from Dubai International Airport.

The total fare by taxi is around AED 65.

Scheduling Meetings

Scheduling Meetings prior to the Event Approximately 6 weeks prior to the event you will receive access to the Marcom eSchedule PRO online meeting scheduling system. Marcom eSchedule PRO allows you to select potential partners according to geographical origin, programmes, or date of inclusion in the system, as well as to send personalised meeting requests. In accordance with the ►Agent Terms & Conditions, a minimum of 25 meetings per agent must be scheduled prior to the event. ICEF does not schedule meetings for you. Please note that the deadline for confirming / requesting meetings is February 11, 9:00 Dubai time.

If you are using Marcom eSchedule PRO for the first time, we recommend to take a look at the ►Getting Started Information as well as ►Marcom’s video tutorials.

Scheduling Meetings during the Event In case your schedule is not full at the close of Marcom eSchedule PRO, you will still have the possibility to maximise the number of your meetings through Marcom Onsite, a web-based application that will enable you to schedule last-minute meetings, message other event participants, view onsite workshop information and access your latest schedule.If you prefer not to opt into the last-minute scheduling function of Marcom Onsite, you may also arrange additional meetings through personal contacts between participants on the morning of each workshop day (February 13 and 14) between 8:30 and 9:00.

Marcom Onsite complements eSchedule PRO and will open on February 11, once eSchedule PRO closes. If you are using Marcom Onsite for the first time, we recommend to have a look at our video tutorials (►Introducing Marcom Onsite, ►Basics of Marcom Onsite).

Collecting Your Badge and Welcome Pack Onsite

You will be able to collect your badge and welcome pack including a print-out of your meeting schedule and the workshop catalogue on Monday, February 12, 2018, from 13:00 to 19:00 at the ICEF hospitality desk located on the first floor of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Participants arriving after the above stated period can contact us on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 8:00 onwards at the ICEF hospitality desk in the Foyer of the Godolphin Ballroom on the ground floor.

As the workshop is an invitation only event, anyone not wearing a badge may not be admitted into the workshop area. Please also understand that for the same reason we cannot allow non-registered family, friends or staff to enter the meeting hall.

Your Catalogue Entry

Update Your Company ProfileOnce you have logged on to the Marcom eSchedule PRO online meeting scheduling system for the first time, you will be asked to edit your profile, which you may change at a later date. It is very important that you take the time to enter your company’s description, as educators and exhibitors will use this information before requesting or confirming meetings with you and it will also appear in the ICEF Dubai Workshop catalogue. If you wish to add up to two representatives’ portrait-style pictures, please upload them into your profile. Photos should be uploaded in JPEG, JPG, PNG or GIF format and should have the highest resolution possible (without exceeding the max. size of 4MB). Please make sure the representative’s name appears in the file name. If your picture has a different format, please use an ►image converter.Please complete your catalogue entry by January 9, 2018 to ensure that your correct company profile is included in the printed catalogue.

Seminars

Recognising the importance of market trends and their impact on student enrollments, a number of seminars will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018, between 14:00 and 19:00.

The seminar programme includes an introductory session on How to maximise your ICEF Workshop Experience.

A full programme overview will be available shortly.

Refreshments and Lunches

Refreshments will be served on February 13 and 14 from 8:00 to 9:00, 11:00 to 11:30 and 16:00 to 16:30.Coffee, tea and water will be available throughout the event. Lunch will be provided from 13:00 to 14:00 on February 13 and 14 in the Foyer 4 and on the Ballroom Patio.

Dubai - General Information

Dubai, the commercial capital of the United Arab Emirates, is the second largest Emirate among the seven that belong to the federation. The city combines comfort and convenience of the western world with the charisma and legendary hospitality of the Middle East.

Quick facts: Time zone: Dubai is 4 hours ahead of GMT.Climate: Sub-tropical, arid climate. Infrequent rainfall can be expected during the winter. Temperatures in February range from approx. 12°C in the nights to 23°C during daytime. Clothing should be modest, as the UAE is an Islamic country. In theevening, light sweaters and jackets are recommended.Currency: Dirham (AED). Credit cards are widely accepted. Short journeys within the city will cost between AED 10 and AED 20 and longer trips across the Creek or into the suburbs between AED 25 and AED 60 (depending on the traffic). Abra, traditional Arabian boats, are the cheapest and most popular mode of crossing the creek between Deira and Bur Dubai (priced normally at AED 1). Two new metro lines have been established between Rashidiya Station and Jebel Ali Station (red line) and between Etisalat and Creek Station (green line). The closest metro station to the Jumeirah Emirates Towers is Emirates Towers station. The standard adult ticket costs between AED 2 and AED 6,50.Electricity: 220 volts.Plug type: C, D and G.
