2015 Community Event Sponsorship Opportunities Each year the Parks and Recreation Depart-ment partners with local businesses and organizations to present community events such as the Eggstravaganza, Teen Egg Hunt, Children’s Concerts, Board Bash, Trunk or Treat Halloween Haunt, and the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Because of the generosity of many local businesses and organizations, special events have been made free or made afford-able for the attendees. As a sponsor you will receive special recognition in various ways such as being listed in the City’s seasonal Rec-reation Guide that is sent to over 18,000 homes in the area, on flyers/posters and on the City’s website, depending on your sponsorship level. “Trunk or Treat” Event FREEMill Creek Parks & Recreation co-sponsored with Canyon Creek Church will be hosting the Annual Trunk or Treat Halloween Haunt on Friday, Oct 31st. The event features a parking lot full of cars – whose trunks will be decorated and FILLED with candy. Children go from car to car “trunk or treating”. This event provides a safe environment for children and their families who wish to trick or treat. A great community event for parents to enjoy a little social time while keeping an eye on their trick-or-treaters. Children ages 12 and under are invited to join the FUN. Remember to bring your own bag for collecting candy.

Program: A recreational Youth Basketball Program for boys and girls in Kindergarten - 9th grades emphasizing fun while learning the fundamentals and promoting teamwork. Practices: All teams begin practice in mid – to late November. Practices take place once or twice a week based on grade level. Kindergarten will practice on Saturdays. Games: Kindergarten will play 6 games and 1st-9th Grades will play an 8 game season. Team Formation: Teams are limited to 10 players and are formed by grade and school. We do not have league tryouts or select teams. Players may request a friend or coach on the lines provided below. Players will be placed on previous year’s team unless player/guardian requests a change this season. (There is no guarantee participant will be placed on requested team)Inclement Weather: Practices and games will be canceled if Everett School District closes due to weather. League will try and reschedule missed practices and games based on facility availability.

sENIOR PROGRAMsMill Creek Seniors ClubThe Mill Creek Seniors Club meets on the first and third Monday of the month at the City of Mill Creek City Hall Community Room at 12:30 pm. On the first Monday of the month is a business meeting and bingo. On the third Monday of the month is their potluck luncheon, bring something to share!

Greater Mill Creek Senior Programs & ActivitiesThe Senior Center provides free Health & Wellness Support with a Nurse and Social Worker. They also provide Educational, Social, and Recreational Services to seniors with the goal of maximizing their well-being and independence. Every season there is a newsletter showing a variety of activities available to seniors. These include Computer Classes, Trips, Interest Classes, Fitness, Special Events, and Health & Wellness Support. City and School District boundaries are not the same. Most programs/classes have different fees for residents and non– residents. Mill creek residents make a significant contribution to the City’s financing and operation through city property taxes. Therefore, Mill Creek residents receive a discount off the regular class fee.
