Dewan V S Institute of Engineering & Technology is on an en-

thralling path of growth and development since its establishment in

2007. The institute owns its lush green campus

on 77 acres of land. It is located on Delhi-

Mussories Highway (near the junction point of

Delhi-Meerut Expressway & proposed Meerut

South Station of Rapid Rail Transport System) in

prominent industrial city of Uttar Pradesh- Mee-

rut, hardly 65 Kilometers from Delhi. ISBT

The institute is affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

Technical University, Lucknow and approved by All India Council

for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

1.0 ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

2.0 CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

I congratulate all the departments on having made a significant im-

pact on the lives of so many bright minds, and inspired so many of

our community leaders to support the cause of education. The In-

stitution in spite of its glorious feat as one of the state’s pioneering

Management & Technical Education Institution, it never commer-

cializes education but continues to remain an institution of service,

catering to the educational needs accessible and affordable to all

as vision by its founder Shri Vidya Sagar Dewan .The Culture &

Philosophy of an institute for higher learning is defined by its stu-

dents, while it realizes enormity through its alumni. Throughout the

course tenure students participate in multiple activities, ranging

from the academic- cultural- to the extracurricular forming strong

bonds of friendship. I wish that this bond is carried forward through

the DVSGI students, once they embark their degrees

6.3 ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

We are in the modern age of electricity. The recent develop-

ments in electrical engineering have become possible only due

to the continuous innovation and development. We too, are the

part of this excited journey since 2010. In addition to the excel-

lent curriculum-related laboratories, the department has many

facilities for assisting undergraduate project work in areas such

as power quality, distributed generation, soft switching of con-

verters, inverter design, control strategies for complex systems

including robotics systems & networked control systems, high

voltage & insulation research etc. In addition to this, a technical

club or a society enables the students to connect to a peer

group who shares similar interests and we too have the same

boat to flow along the stream.

IIP forms an important activity for any academic institute as

its stakeholders interact with the real world. Not only the stu-

dents are exposed to current industry practices but also the

faculty gets sensitized to the latest practices leading them to

blend practice with usual theoretical teaching methods. IIP

Cell aims at effective, frequent and mutually beneficial inter-

actions with the Industry and exploring links for the overall

development of the stakeholders.

Developing close links between Industry

and institute by interaction programs.

To encourage industry and organizations for

placement and training of students .

Implementing R&D programmes, spon-

sored and joint R&D projects from industries,

in the Institute.

To conduct Industrial Training, Visits and In-
