1.0 ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
2.0 CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
I congratulate all the departments on having made a significant im-
pact on the lives of so many bright minds, and inspired so many of
our community leaders to support the cause of education. The In-
stitution in spite of its glorious feat as one of the state’s pioneering
Management & Technical Education Institution, it never commer-
cializes education but continues to remain an institution of service,
catering to the educational needs accessible and affordable to all
as vision by its founder Shri Vidya Sagar Dewan .The Culture &
Philosophy of an institute for higher learning is defined by its stu-
dents, while it realizes enormity through its alumni. Throughout the
course tenure students participate in multiple activities, ranging
from the academic- cultural- to the extracurricular forming strong
bonds of friendship. I wish that this bond is carried forward through
the DVSGI students, once they embark their degrees
Mr. VIVEK DEWAN

Selecting an institution for higher professional studies is a diffi-
cult task for students and parents both. The major concerns are
infrastructure, academic environment, overall growth of stu-
dents and placement after the course finishes. We try to cater
for these needs and deliver whatever is desired to be done to
turn the students in to good professionals with emphasis on
developing caring, confident, culturally sensitive and motivated
individuals.
We at Dewan with our excellent infrastructure, academic ambi-
ence, high standards of teaching, strong corporate connectivity
and excellent placements, provide the right learning environ-
ment for the future global professionals.

8.0 MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES– NPTEL (2019-20) 20
National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning
(NPTEL) is a project of MHRD, Government of India initiated
by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi,
Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along
with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003, to pro-
vide quality education to anyone interested in learning from the
IITs. The main goal was to create web and video courses in all
major branches of engineering and physical sciences at the
undergraduate and postgraduate levels and management
courses at the postgraduate level. Dewan V S Institute of Engi-
neering & Technology is the Active Local Chapter of NPTEL
since 2018 to bridge between the students and NPTEL. Web
