Let us finally start saving the planet! The seminar is focused on the Big Pacific Garbage Patch problem and how can architects, facing this Information, contribute to solving it. This is not a problem to solve by one person or one team and therefore we will set ourselves in cooperation with FA ČVUT Prague, where the focus on this topic has been for past 2 years. In the analysis part we will gather the Information, develope architectonical strategies and ideas together around one virtual table. The seminar is also open to international students on both sides. In the second phase /4weeks/,designing in mixed teams takes place. What is to be designed? An object built of the plastic garbage in order to visualize the problem. PET bottles. Microfibre bags. Igelit. Jogurt cups. Etc. Or an Object that helps sorting the garbage. Finally an object, that fulfills both conditions. A shelter for garbage containers built from garbage, an Information architecture. In all phases collaborative work comes in place, where the participants will be able to cooperate remotedly via teleconferencing system of ValueLab. We invite professional investors to have a look at our designs. In this real world competition one or more designs will be selected to be fabricated in reality. The focus will be targeted on distributing work on the prototype. The question is: How could this help saving the world? Let us gather to discuss the answer! Let us face this shocking Information! You know, this is an experimental seminar: no one knows the result: it could be a start of a worldwide garbage revolution...
