NHS Education for Scotland: Developing SSKS and The Knowledge Network to support the Workforce in implementing
the Self Directed Support National Strategy and Bill

What are we doing?
• To enable the workforce to support people to have choice and control on how their individual budgets are used by:1. Information - providing access to existing quality
assured information, amalgamating and sign posting existing information for practice.
2. Learning resources - seeking to challenge and enhance practice by providing access to resources to encourage reflection and learning.
Who is this resource for and when will in be ready?
• SDS has relevance to a wide and varied audience, including:– service users, practitioners in health and social services, the
new personal assistant role, educators and many more. – Information will be made available to support the social
services and health workforce.• 9 month project, due for completion by end of
January 2013.
