Is there a correlation between money & happiness? As you would probably expect the answer is complicated. 450,000 Americans were surveyed for their day-to-day happiness and overall life satisfaction. Happiness got better as income rose, but the effect leveled out at $75,000. So how does money affect happiness? While having more income doesn't necessarily translate to more happiness, it has been found that the way you spend it does. As detailed in this infographic from Noomii, recent research shows that when we spend money on others, our own happiness increases. Humans are social animals, when we improve our connections with others and focus on experiences over material possessions, we increase our own happiness. Source: Noomii.com
