On behalf of the organisers, High Voltage TC & NETTC we welcome you to Bishop Barrington Schoolfor the second Regional Qualifier of 2014A special thanks to High Voltage TC and all the officials & helpers who have given up their time tohelp make the competition a success.

Notes for Team Managers and Competitors

Check In On arrival please check in your competitors and inform the check in clerk of anywithdrawals.

Warm Ups A TWO Warm-Up System will be in operation with a controlled Warm-Up beforecompeting.

Format Each event will consist of a Set Routine and a Voluntary Routine.

Tariff Limits As per National Competition Structure

Protests Coaches or Team Managers may approach the Chair of the Panel in a polite manner.The decision of the Chair of the Panel is final .

Jewellery NO Jewellery or Friendship Bracelets to be worn when Competing or Warming Up

Spotters All competitors must have FOUR spotters who must be wearing the correct attire,i.e. track suit, trainers, NO jewellery or Friendship Bracelets.

Awards The first three in each age group will receive a trophy, and the winning teams willreceive medals. Each Competitor will be awarded a Certificate, these will be sent toeach club with a set of results.

Presentations Shortly after the completion of each event a presentation will take place at thetrophy table will all competitors gather at the trophy table at the end of their event .

Timings The Organisers reserve the right to run events up to 60 minutes earlier thanscheduled

Tie Breaker As per FIG Rules.(There are no Equal Places).

For Grades 3 to 6 : as per National Grading Structure

NO Flash photography during the competition .

Please ensure that Mobile Phones are Switched off during the Competition.

Please note that the organisers, British Gymnastics or Bishop Barrington School cannot be heldresponsible for loss of Property or accidental injury to anyone participating in this event, howsoevercaused .

When submitting entries for a British Gymnastics event the onus is on the club and coaches to ensurethat the coaches attending to the participants are qualified to the level of the participants performance.

THE COACH RESPONSIBLE MUST SIGN IN AT THE CHECK-IN DESK BEFORE ANYCOMPETITORS FROM THEIR CLUB WILL BE ALLOWED TO WARM-UP OR COMPETE.

SCORING INDIVIDUAL EVENTS

There are FIVE form Judges and a Superior Judge. Each form judge will mark the routine out of 10 marks.

The judge can deduct up to 0.5 from each move for form.

This deduction depends upon how well or badly the move is executed. The judges deductions are then

added up and taken from 10 marks giving the form score.Out of the 5 judges the highest and lowest scores are ignored and the 3 middle scores are added together for a fair form score.

Each competitor will execute one compulsory routine (Set) and one voluntary routine (Vol). In theCompulsory they must perform the prescribed moves in the sequence outlined. If they deviate the routineis terminated. In the voluntary routine, they perform 10 moves of their own choice.

Each move has a tariff value and the tariff is added to the form score. Obviously the more complex themove the greater the tariff value.

The top Eight competitors in Grade D will compete in a final round (Accumulative Scores).There are no Finals for Grades E to H

Information

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS POLICYUse of Video or Close Range Photography

British Gymnastics Child Protection Policy requires that the name and address of any spectator who

wishes to use a camera to video, or take photographs to record the activities at a competition or festival, beregistered.

In line with this requirement, the promoters of this event require that any person wishing to engage in anyvideoing, or photography should have registered their details with staff at the spectator entry desk beforecarrying out any such photography. Proof of identity will be required. An accreditation identity sticker must be worn at the event at all times.

The organiser reserves the right to decline entry to this event to any person with a camera who has notregistered with the organiser. Unregistered persons found to be using a camera will be asked to leave thearena and surrender any film relating to the event.

If you are concerned about any photography taking place at this event, please contact the promoter or theorganiser who will be pleased to discuss the matter with you.
