Factor X
Networking
Communication
Influencing – one key tip Influencing – one key tip
When attending a meeting find out who will be there
Find out their agenda (things that are important for them) and ask them for an
update
After 2 days send them something that is related to their agenda
Communication – one key tip
When listening to others stop thinking of what to say next
Ask 2 questions to probe for further information
Networking – one key tip
Make allies of people of who are well connected but do not have positional power – They always have huge amounts of useful
information
Secretary’s, PA’s, coffee shop staff etc
Factor ‘X’ – one key tip
Choose your battleground, you do not have to win at everything
When choosing the battle you are going to fight ensure that all parties can ‘win’
