Organized economic activity concerned with manufacture, processing of raw materials, or construction (Collins Canadian Dictionary).
Industrialization: The development of large-scale production as an important feature in the economic evolution of a country or system (Global Connections).
Sectors of Industry
Primary sector: – Extraction of natural resources. E.g. farming,
mining, fishing.
Industry Sectors
Secondary sector:– Manufacture of raw materials from primary
resources. E.g. food processing, textiles.

Tertiary Sector:– Sale and use of manufactured goods. – E.g. Wal-Mart.
