industrial pump distributors, stockists and
suppliers throughout the UK.
The PDA logo is the pump user’s assurance
of technical competence and business
The Aims and Objectives of the PDA
The Pump Distributors Association (PDA) was
established in 1985 by leading and progressive
distributors of pumps and pumping accessories.
The PDA is the corporate representative body for the
pump distribution industry within the UK and
Ireland. Its aim is to promote the efficient and
effective use of quality products for the benefit of
users, whether companies or individuals. The PDA
has a code of conduct thus ensuring customer
satisfaction whilst upholding the high reputation of its
members. The code is binding on all members and
provision is made in the Association's Constitution for
investigation and arbitration in any cases of complaint.
The PDA acts as a forum for the acquisition and
dissemination of information relevant to members'
interests. In particular, the PDA has produced
guidance papers on training and safety within the
industry. The Association’s Web Site contains a vast
amount of pump related data, plus the guidance papers
on training and safety which have been produced for
the benefit of its members.
The Association’s Council consists of representatives
elected from member firms and meets on a regular
basis. The Council’s meetings are combined with
general membership meetings which are held in
central locations throughout the membership area.
These meetings enable the exchange of technical and
product data and enable discussion and dissemination
of ideas relating to the pump distribution industry.
Organisation
The policy of the Association is decided by the
Council. The day to day work is done by the
Association's Director who is the focal point of
contact for PDA activities and is retained by the
Association on a part-time basis.
For contact regarding membership and events please
