SGS has the labour and skills to solve many problems, with proven experience on sites big and small, for emergency, short term or long term solutions. Solve your concerns with one phone call to 0800 SGS IVE (0800 747 483). This number is monitored 24 hours.

1. GENERAL LABOUR• Trades assistants – for supervised or unsupervised manual

labour on engineering work, buffing, grinding, mobilising and demobilising worksites, helping tradespeople. Staff are or can be first aid trained to NZQA 6400, 6401, 6402 or 26551 provide first aid for life threatening conditions and 26552 demonstrate knowledge of common first aid

• Stores personnel – for stock takes, booking in/out, receipting.

• Cleaners – all forms of cleaning, shoveling, materials movement

• Office administration – data entry, supervision, office duties as required.

• Lubrication technicians.

2. QUALIFIED LABOUR• Fire watch NZQA 3271 fire extinguisher use• Safety observers – confined space planning NZQA 17599,

confined space observer NZQA 18426, safety observation NZQA 17596

• Gas testing NZQA 3058, operate testing device NZQA 25510

• Fitters – qualified in appropriate trades, certified and accompanying H&S qualifications include:

• Working at heights NZQA 15757, harness trained NZQA 23229

• Permit receivers NZQA 17588

• Hazard ID and risk assessment NZQA 17602, knowledge of workplace H&S NZQA 497

• Power generation site competencies for permit holders GPG 301 and work authority GPG 302

• Welders (structural and pressure equipment coded – ASME, BS-EN and AS/NZS qualifications

• Drivers and operators – all HT classes, roller/tracked/wheeled vehicles, fork lifts.

3. VALVE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION• Valve and equipment swap-outs during maintenance

shutdowns, outages or tight maintenance windows

• Removals for overhaul testing and certification

• In-line testing, calibration and certification

4. PROJECT AND MAINTENANCE SHUTDOWN MANAGEMENT• Maintenance planning

• Service recommendations and troubleshooting

• Shut planning, management and implementation

• Supervision, liaison with planners, progress reports.

• Cost control, emergent work management
