In September 19 Chinese leaders joint opening ceremony of BEIJING PRECAST INSTITUTE .  

Currently only 20% of Chinese Buildings use precast building materials, compare to 60% in European Union.

September 19, Chinese leaders attended opening ceremony of BEIJING PRECAST INSTITUTE.

Undoubtedly it is a great event for the precast industry in China, since the existence of an institute of its kind, dedicated specifically to serving the precast industry, will help to approach world's most modern construction technologies.

Beijing authorities have stated that the idea is to continue

opening branches of the institute to all cities in China and increase the number of buildings that use this type of prefabricated building materials.

At present only 20% of buildings in China using prefabricated modular systems or materials compared to 60% that is used in the European Union.

Since  1998,  the  Ministry  of  Housing  and  Urban-­‐Rural  of  the  People's  Republic  of  China  began  to  promote  the  sector  and  the  industrialization  of  prefabricated  construction.  

In  the  past  13  years,  China  has  enacted  a  series  of  documents,  regulations  and  decrees  to  promote  the  industrialization  of  construction  industry.  

The  12-­‐year  plan  clearly  defines  the  prefabricated  sector  as  a  priority  sector  for  China  society  and  sustainable  development  of  the  construction  sector.  

The  industrialization  of  residential  construction  promotes  a  model  of  green  living,  energy  savings  and  thus  improved  quality  of  life  of  its  citizens.

Precast  technology  is  not  only  a  good  option  for  saving  energy    and  protecting  the  environment,  but  also  to  enlarge  live  of  buildings  and  improve  living  standards  of  house  owners.  

According  to  comments  by  the  Director  General  of    Vanke,    No.1  prefabricated  manufacturer  in  China,  "Thanks  to  the  methods  of  industrialization  of  a  buildings  within  a  facility,  quality  ensurance  with  equipment  to  measure  up  to  the  last  detail  the  quality  of  the  pieces,  waterproofing  and  sealing  can  guarantee  its  live  time  and  quality  standards”.    

VANKE  has  planed  to  invest  around  800  million  euros  in  the  next  5  years  to  absorb  the  high  demand  for  prefabricated  Building  Materials.

MAJOR  COMPANIES  OF  PREFABRICATED  EXPECTED  OPERATING  IN  CHINA  FIGURES  REACH  RECORD  GROWTH  IN  THE  NEXT  5  YEARS.  

During  the  opening  ceremony  of  the  INSTITUTE  OF  PREFABRICATED    of  Beijing,  the  leaders  of  the  precast  industry    said  that  the  heavy  investment  by  the  Chinese  government  in  the  residential  sector  will  allow  them  to  increase  their  investments  in  new  production  plants  in  North  China.  They  also  called  on  foreign  companies  that  are  not  yet  operating  in  China  to  take  advantage  of  the  opportunities  that  this  new  stage  of  development  offers  to  the  construction  industry.  

There  is  a  strong  need  by  the  Chinese  Precast  Companies  to  cooperate  with  Western  companies  for  the  joint  development  of  precast  plants.    

For  China  it  is  a  very  new  industry,  so  Chinese  are  not  familiar  with  new  technical    developments  in  the  precast  and  industrialized  construction  therefor  they  need  joint-­‐ventures  to  create  a  competitive  environment  that  could  drive  efficient  competition  against  traditional  construction.

CHINA  IS  CHANGING  ITS  DESIGN  MODELS.  NEW  URBANIZATION  IS  MOVING  TOWARDS  NEW  DEMANDS  AND  PRIORITIES  FROM  ITS  CITIZENS.  

Families  in  China,  do  not  have  enough  with  a  good  apartment  and  a  nice  job.  

Families  in  China  are  very  much  concern  about  their  families,  children  education  and  the  environment  they  live.  Most  of  the  reach  families  in  China  are  looking  for  a  beter  live  stilelike  the  one  Americans  or  Europeans  have  back  home.  

This  better  live  stile,  is  often  part  of  a  large  investment  to  purchase  a  house  into  a  private  compound  inside  a  big  city  with  all  type  of  facilities  for  the  family  like  international  schools,  private  doctors,  Green  áreas,  sports  center,  etc…  

In  order  gto  build  this  high  standard  compounds,  Chinese  developers  are  contacting  American  or  European  Precast  and  prefabricated  manufacturers  to  get  involved  in  the  business.
