2. InductionWelcome to new employees an existingemployees. Firegod Design is a graphicdesign studio, first established in 1970. Ourprimary focus is to provide high qualitydesign to our clients based on theirrequirements. 3. Induction Requirements Guided tour of building Completion of banking, tax file #, payrollforms etc Introduction to key members of staff Introduction to companys operatingprocedures OH&S training 4. Safety Procedures Every employee has the right to a safeworkplace Protective clothing/eye wear/footwearshould be worn where required OH&S guidelines should be followed at alltimes. 5. Safety Equipment Checks Safety equipment checks are carried out atregular intervals by an independentcompany and all equipment is taggedaccordingly. All safety issues should be reportedimmediately for action by completing aSafety Incident Form. 6. OH&S Hazard PreventionAt Firegod Design we have in placeprocedures to deal with OH&S hazardsoccurring. All employees are responsiblefor reporting any potential hazards in theworkplace to their immediate supervisor orthe OH&S Officer Katherine Thompson.Regular equipment and workplaceergonomic checks are conducted. 10. Incident Reporting Procedure Advise supervisor of accident and First AidOfficer Accident incident report to be completed Identify the cause of accident Follow up to be made to prevent furtheraccidents occurring 11. OH&S Consultative Process The OH&S Officer completes all associatedtraining. This knowledge is then passed on to allother employees through a formal trainingsession. All other OH&S issues are discussed on aweekly basis at departmental meeting. 12. Procedure for Emergencies Remain calm Remove of hazard, if possible. If not,clear the area First aid staff to attend to injured person/s If fire, direction from Fire Warden/s to moveto safe evacuation area Report details of emergency. 13. Employer/Employee OH&S Responsibilities Employers responsibilities - Adequately induct, inform, train andsupervise staff to ensure safe OHSpractices are understood and upheld by allemployees. Provide all appropriate personal protectiveequipment (PPE) required to ensureworkers can complete their job safely. 14. Employer/Employee OH&S Responsibilities contd Employers responsibilities - Monitor and evaluate OHS systems andprocedures to ensure that workers areadequately protected from workplacehazards. Provide adequate facilities for the welfareof employees. 15. Employer/Employee OH&S Responsibilities contd Employees responsibilities - Work safely to protect themselves andothers from injury. Report any workplace hazards. Obey all health and safety procedures,including correctly wearing all personalprotective equipment provided. 16. Employer/Employee OH&S Responsibilities contd Employees responsibilities - Report any workplace injury, illness ornear misses. Get to know emergency procedures/ andthe location of the first aid kit.
