24 x 7, 350-day operation
Influent (raw) and effluent (treated) water sampled and analyzed flow rate and TSS recorded 600 times per hour
Autosamplers collected raw and treated water samples once per hour for nutrient testing
SJRWMD maintained its own set of samplers and data

FDEP verificationAquaFiber received a letter dated February 7, 2014 from FDEP stating:
The Department has reviewed the available information on the pilot AquaLutions Project in Lake Jesup. we believe that the aqualutions process is demonstrating success in removing phosphorus and nitrogen from the lake. Additionally, toxicity tests of the treated and untreated lake water have demonstrated that the treatment is not harmful to the lake.as a result, the department is allowing bmap credit for the phosphorus and nitrogen reduction resulting from the project on a 1:1 basis.

Comprehensive everglades restoration plan
Add aqualutions as polishing for stasExtend the lifetime and efficiencyallow stas to function as designed
In addition to the St johns river and lake jesup, this technology can be used for other major regional restoration projects
AquaLutions is the perfect solution for many of Floridas other large, impaired water bodies.
The image on the left is from ORCA and shows where nutrients are building up in the IRL; in those small canals and backwaters that feed the IRL where decades of septic tank and direct stormwater runoff have caused large accumulations of nutrients and muck. AquaFiber has tested its process successfully on the waters of the Indian River Lagoon where AquaLutions could be deployed to treat the hotspots.
The picture on the right depicts a major component of the states Everglades restoration plan. Several STAs will be built to remove nutrients. Those STAs will be fed with water from the FEBs. The water from these FEBs will be dirty and should be cleaned as much as possible so the STAs can function as they are designed, a final polishing before the water enters the Everglades. Without pre-treating the water, the STAs will reach their carrying capacity and require excavation more often than desired. AquaLutions has proven it could reduce the load and do much of the heavy lifting, so the STAs wont become overloaded.15
