Engineering Exports from India stood at US$ 65.23 bn in FY 2016-17. USA is the top
Importer of Indian Engineering Products during FY 2016-17 amounting to US$ 7.06 bn.
Iron and Steel exports, Auto Components, Electrical Machinery were some of the
segments that recorded high growth in exports to USA. An office Presence in USA and
quick customer service can enable Indian Companies to access more opportunities in the
US Market.
Hand-Printed Textiles, Scarves, Hand kni�ed & embroidered goods, Art
Metalwork, Wood ware, Shawls Zari and Zari goods, Imitation, Jewellery,
and Miscellaneous Handicrafts & Antiques are some of the leading
handicrafts segments. Indian Handicrafts have a huge potential in the US

footwear, bags, and jackets.

increasing demand in the US.

approximately two-thirds share of the US D 130 bn market. India's cost competiveness in providing IT Services
continues to be the mainstay of its Unique Selling Proposition. However, India is
also gaining prominence in terms of intellectual capital with several global IT
firms se�ing up their innovation centres in India. Software services for Retail,
Financial Services, Healthcare and Manufacturing Industry continue to be the
