    2.Export-Import Procedure and Documentation

    Basic documents used in international trade-export letter of credit - processing of an export order -

    excise duty and sales tax procedure - pre-shipment documentation - standardisation procedure for

    export by sea, inland container depots, container freight stations, export by air, courier service, land and

    river, export by post. Collection, negotiation of export documents - registration, formalities with export

    promotion councils, FIEO, export promotion schemes, incentives to exporters - Registration formalities -

    opening of letter of credit for import. Retirement of import documents. Customs procedure for clearing

    3.Foreign Exchange Management

    Foreign exchange markets - different players in the market - type of FOREX transactions - exchange

    rates basics - exchange rate quotations - merchant rates - forward contracts - FEDAI guidelines on

    export-import transactions - exchange control regulations of RBI on export of goods software etc -

    exchange control regulations of RBI on imports - revaluation and depreciation of currencies - full

    4.Export-Import Finance

    Export finance and payments - export credit - financing foreign receivables - advances against

    EXAMINATIONS

    The question papers will be sent to the students in 15 days after completion of the program. The

    students should submit the answer sheets within 15 days after the receipt of question papers. The

    answers must be written in their own handwriting in A4 size white paper. Any student who fails in anexamination can rewrite paper in which he/she failed on payment of Rs.100(Rupees One Hundred only)

    as examination fee for each paper.

    6. Essentials of Management

    PASSING REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum marks for a pass in each paper -- 45%

    Minimum aggregate Marks -- 50%

    Minimum marks for 1st class -- 60%

    Marks for distinction -- 75% and above

    DIPLOMA CERTIFICATE

    The diploma certificate along with the mark sheet will be sent to the students on obtaining pass mark in

    all subjects.
