According to Sanjeev Sanyal, a leading economist & writer, the

name Bharat emerged from an ancient tribe called #Bharatas.The Rig Veda mentions a ‘Battle of Ten Kings’ that took placeon the banks of River Ravi (Punjab) wherein 10 powerful tribeswaged a war against the Bharatas. The latter won the war due tothe chieftain Sudasa & his Guru #Vashishta’s tactics. The tribegrew & spread across the country. This led to the kingdom beingknown as Bharat Varsha or the Land of Bharatas. This is one ofmany theories regarding the origin of the name ‘Bharat’(Indicative Image). #Indiaunveiled

Jaswant Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army, single-handedlyheld off a Chinese attack, at an altitude of 10,000ft, during theSino-Indian war of 1962. After three days of resistance, he was
