Upon arrival at Gwalior transfer to the hotel for 2 nights stay at the luxurious Usha Kiran Taj Palace Hotel.

GWALIOR is a historic and major city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh located 319 kilometres (198 miles) south of Delhi. Agra (the Taj Mahal) is situated between Delhi and Gwalior. Gwalior’s medieval city is wonderful to walk and stroll around in.

The GWALIOR MUSEUM situated at the Palace is now a destination venue and your visit there will be conducted by the curator himself. The museum occupies some 35 rooms of the Scindias’ opulent Jai Vilas Palace. The magnificent JAI VILAS PALACE has 400 rooms. At the Durbar Royal Hall, you will see incredible chandeliers, paintings of court in Indian and rare Oriental and European objects d’art. Its hall carpet is one of the largest in Asia. Its two 12.5m-high, 3.5-tonne chandeliers with 250 light bulbs, said to be the largest pair of chandeliers in the world. You will dine at the famous Dining Room, see the famous model railway with a silver train that carried after-dinner brandy and cigars around the table.
