New year, new books, new writing!Welcome back to 2021! We are very excited to begin our year with a strong focus on writing at Holy Family. Our writers have been busy creating many new ideas for their books and we are looking forward to sharing them. On Friday 12 February we celebrated the Chinese and Vietnamese New Year – the year of the Ox. 5/6IB and 5/6EM worked hard to create an assembly which celebrated this wonderful occasion. The Lunar New Year was also a great writing prompt for our budding authors. So… sharpen the pencils, clean the keyboards and let’s get writing!

The world of Pokemon, In the beginning there where just humans until Raquza came. When the world found out there where more of them. When they spread we had a name for them Pokemon. When the word spread we started making these balls that we called poke balls. They where used to catch them. Then they started to become like pets. So the government decided that we could keep them if we caught them.

So we started the Pokemon Arena Battle. If you signed up you would fight other Pokemon. If you won you would fight the other Pokemon that won. If you bet every one you would be the Raining champion of Pokemon Arena Battle. Now we get to my story.

Hi my name’s Blaze I’m twelve years old I am soo into Pokemon! Today I’m going to the wild lands to find a Pokemon I’m ready to catch a Pokemon. Pokemon Pokemon where are the Pokemon. Eeekk!! What was that. I’m going to see what the noise was. What happen this is horrible. Who would hurt a poor old Pokemon. It’s ok I will get you to the Pokemon centre. Twik! What was that Quick hide. Hey! Where’s the Pokemon man he must of ran away. O well. These doofuses. When I got there I gave the Pokemon to the lady and left.TO BE CONTINUED…

THE FIRST TIME AT SCHOOL

Chapter 1 One day there was a boy and his name was Jack and he has not been at school in his life But his mum wanted him to go to school but he says “no”. Then he started to get bored so he told his mum to buy him a laptop and his mum said “ok”. So, they went to the shops to buy his laptop. But his mum said he can’t get the laptop because it was too much. So, they went back home. So, he had so watch tv every day. So, he went to his mum and he said what is it like at school. And she said it was fun because when his mum was little, she made lots of friends. and she likes doing work at school. So, jack was thinking if he should go to school. And he said he will go to school in 4 days. So, he kept watching tv. So, the next day they went to the shops to buy food. When they came back from the shops, they started cooking the food because they were hungry So they were cooking. The next day his mum said do you want to go swimming and jack said “ok”. So, they went there. When they got there, they put their swimming suit then they got in the water. When they went out the water they went back home. Then jack said can I go to school and his mum said “ok”

Chapter 2

The next day jack went to school and he was a little shy but he was brave. Then he went to his class and he did what the teacher said. And he made lots of friends like his mum. When he went home, he told his mum I made lots of friends. And he was really happy that he went to school for the first-time at school. One year later he looks at his grades and he got straight A’s so he went to his mum to tell her he got straight A’s when his mum looked at his grades and she was shocked. Then she said good job. So, his mum took him to the shops and his mum said she was going to buy him a laptop. Then they got it and went back home and had yummy food. Then jack had a good day with his new laptop. So, he played all day with his friends. Then the next day he went to his friend’s house to have a sleep over. And jack and his friends had so much time together. And a good time and he was playing a car game. A boy who has not been at school. And he he get’s to board at home so he told his mum he wants to go to school.
