Today S.I.M.A.S.V. offers the metalworking market a new series of CNC punching and
nibbling machines and is therefore pleased to introduce the new F1 S autoindex,
equipped with SIEMENS technology.
By this innovation the company wanted to intercept the need of a greater operational
flexibility through a new programming logic.
The use of the SIEMENS technology, a world leader also in the automation and in the
driving field, provides a significant added value to a mechanically efficient and
performing product.

certain to offer, as well as a high quality product, a superior after-sales service, thanks to
its worldwide capillary presence of a technical points providing efficiently and on time
assistance and spare parts.
CNC Punching and nibbling machine - F1 S autoindex: a concentration of high
technology!
• Heavy and sturdy “C”-structure made of special electro welded and stabilized steel,
with
dimensions calculated on CAD with FEA systems, suitably shaped to withstand loads
greater than all off-sets and punching stresses.
• 360° INDEX SYSTEM - punch and die holding system, index TYPE, with 360° continuous
rotation of all punches and dies by means of reduction gear units and oil-lubricated
worm screws with the highest precision and zero backlash.
This system guarantees an absolute mechanical rigidity of positioning with no
movement or
rotation whatever process is being performed (unlike inaccurate systems with spur gear
or bevel gear pairs) and a perfect alignment of punch and die with all kind of materials
and thickness. This ensures the long life of the cutting punches.
• Sophisticated and extra large monolithic punching head with Punches Fast Tool
Change “frontal”(patented) to the machine guaranteeing the maximum optimization in
their loading times up to 4 seconds only!.
• Special hydraulic unit properly designed in the components to run at low pressures so
as to avoid dangerous oil over-heating.
Integrated with a “Save Power” system, it allows high frequencies of punching and
reduces of 50% the power of the electric motors and consequently the production and
maintenance costs, if compared with other conventional machines.
• Strong hydraulic locking clamps (not springs) to lock heavy metal sheets, controlled
either by electric foot pedal or by CNC.
• Double sensors safety system included to prevent from clamps impact. This system
safeguards the machine during wrong operations.
• Technological SIEMENS Numeric Control located on a mobile control unit that can be
moved outside working area.

INDEX SYSTEM 360° INDEX-Type punch and die holding system with a
continuous rotation of 360° by means of reduction gear
units and wide diameter oillubricated worm screws with
the highest precision and zero backlash. Only systems
like this one guarantee an absolute mechanical rigidity
of positioning with no movements or rotation (unlike
cheaper systems with spur gear or bevel gear pairs
which are not accurate and which do not give
guarantee of rigidity during offset-cuts and with large
thicknesses), a perfect coordination of punch and die
with all kind of materials and thickness. This system allows to obtain a high level of accuracy
and repeatability in working processes like punching,
nibbling, embossing, marking etc., even in offsets and
on metal sheets up to 5/6 mm thickness. Thank to this
system, there is no wear of punches and dies and this
reduces the stops of machine during the production
cycles and therefore the running costs.

PUNCHING HEAD
Extra large monolithic punching head firmly plated onto
the rigid Cstructure of the machine, model block with
(patented) front loading of the punch cartridge. This
avoids dangerous mechanical backlashes due the
revolution of the punch loading head, like in some
competitors’ machines causing in time significant
mechanical backlash and subsequent costly Multitool and
punch breakages. Special hydraulic unit, properly oversized to run at low
pressures so as to avoid dangerous oil over-heating and
integrated with a “Save Power” system ensuring to save up
to 50% of the motor capacity with respect to the
traditional machines even during working at extremely
high frequencies and speeds. A “Silenced System”
SoftPunch is provided as well to avoid shocks and
mechanical stress during the punching cycle. With these
two innovative systems, the machining and running costs
are drastically reduced in favour of lifespan of punches,
flexibility and productivity, and therefore of more profits.
Electronic punch stroke adjustment automatically
controlled by CNC according to the punch shape and the
sheet-metal thickness and material (Option: automatic
marking and embossing by means of SOFTPUNCH systems). The automatic atomization/lubrication system of the
punch/die head guarantees the punch life by reducing
the friction between material and punch and therefore guarantees machining of
exceptional quality.
TOOL CHANGE
Fast Tool Change “frontal” to the machine (this avoids
dangerous mechanical backlash due to the revolution of the
punch loading headm as in some competitors’ machines). This
guarantees maximum precision and long life of the punches
and the Amada® Multitool and continuous optimization in their
loading times (4 seconds only). The functional HORIZONTAL tool
change of the dies has been designed in order to work without

“C"- AXIS INDEX
C” Axis (Index) with 360° rotation of all punches and dies (min.
0.01°) by means of oil-lubricated crown system and big
diameter worm screws with the highest precision and zero
backlash. Only this system guarantees an absolute mechanical rigidity of
positioning with no movements or rotation, whatever process is
being performed, and a perfect alignment of punch and die
with all kind of materials and thickness. Traditional and low-
cost systems like the ones with spur gear or bevel gear pairs
offer no guarantee of any firmness during the offset cuts and
by high thickness to be punched. The rotation of the C-Axis (Index) is continuously monitored by
an electronic Gantry-type system, controlled by digital (AC)
servomotors to ensure a perfect synchronisation between
punch and die. These axes have a direct digital reading
system, as well without tension, confirming the performed
positioning as guarantee of every check. “Y” AXIS
“Y” axis =1270 mm, controlled by CNC, sliding on long guide
cart, with very high precision double linear guides and central
ball screw. Only this unique and exclusive technological
application on our punching machines prevents any
deflections of the X-axis and guarantees constant precision on
heavy and large metal sheets, even by considerable off-sets.
“X” AXIS
“X” Axis = 2080 mm., controlled by CNC, with a special rigid structure that guarantees a high level of stability and rigidity with movement on high precision linear guides and ball screws for high speeds and performance.
SHEET POSITIONING
Sheet repositioning on “X” axis, with both axes (X/Y) Interpolated, X= 3000x1250 mm (metal sheet weight max. Kg. 95). and with fixed “Y”axis (metal sheet weight max. Kg. 120).
“Z” AXIS
“Z” Axis with automatic programming of punch stroke, according to the kind of processing and to the metal sheet thickness or after re-sharpening of the punch.
TOOLS
Universal and interchangeable tools type Amada, Mate, Wilson, Gennelli & Allori are supplied already assembled, for max. reduction of loading time (4 SECONDS).
SHEET LOCKING
UNIT
Two hydraulic locking clamps to block the metal sheet, operated either by electric foot pedal or by CNC.A double safety system, supplied as a standard, prevents from clamps impact. This system safeguards the machine mechanics during wrong operations.
“C” STRUCTURE
HEAVY AND STURDY “C” STRUCTURE made of special electro-
welded and stabilized steel, with dimensions calculated on
CAD with FEA systems, suitably shaped to withstand vibrations
and loads greater than all punching stresses.

WORKING TABLE
Large high-resistance stainless steel work table with anti-
scratch balls for an easy and fast metal sheet positioning (ON
DEMAND: anti scratch brush tables for light and/or pre-painted
materials – See Machine Options).
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Oversized Hydraulic power unit with the possibility of adjusting
the punch pressure according to light materials. Cooling system with automatic intervention during heavy work-
cycles, which guarantees a long life of the hydraulic components.
ELECTRIC SYSTEM
Electric single cabinet unit with electric and electronic sheated
components and shielded wires to avoid induced noise and provided with
fan and filter against environment dusts. Electric and electronic components are supplied by worldwide
known international Companies and are easily accessible from a side
panel.
FOOT-PEDAL
Electric foot pedal for opening and closing of metal sheet
holding clamps. Electric foot pedal for manual punching cycle: semi-automatic
cycle or special forming processes.
