STATEMENT OF FAITH

WWEE BBEELLIIEEVVEE::

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

There is one God, eternally present in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

In the Deity of the Lord Jesus, His Virgin Birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutive and reconciling death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to sit at the right hand of God the Father, His return with power and glory.

The only means of freedom from sin is through repentance and faith in the complete work of Jesus Christ.

The regeneration through the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for personal salvation and eternal life.

The redeeming work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body.

In the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the speaking of other tongues.

In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, whose presence enables the Christian to live a holy life.

In the resurrection of the just and unjust, the one to eternal life and the other to eternal damnation.

MOTIVATIONAL THOUGHT

“Baal-Perazim” means “the Lord of breakthrough” because David sought God’s way in his life and received it from God. David gave God the honour because God had given him breakthrough. This life has its fights. You have to know the Word of God so that the Word, which is your sword, can be ready in your mouth and in your heart. You will then find that “the Lord of breakthrough” will always move before you. Enjoy, through the Word and through the Spirit, a daily love experience with “the Lord of breakthrough”!

FIRST-YEAR BIBLE COLLEGE

CCUURRRRIICCUULLUUMM – BIBLICAL STUDIES FOUNDATIONS (BSF)

Our goal is to thoroughly immerse the student in the Word of God for one year. This is done through a systematic study of each of the 66 books of the Bible. The end product is a Christian with an in depth overview of the whole Bible. This is a valuable course for any minister that seeks to fulfil the “Great Commission” of discipling the nations (Matt. 28:18-20). During the first year the student is taught the following:

- Basic interpretation principles

- Types of literature used in the Bible

- The chronology of events in the Old and New Testament

- Significant historical background

- How to find answers for themselves

Other benefits of the Biblical Studies Programme:

1. This programme teaches a student time management and personal discipline. Each book has a due date and it is up to the students to manage their time and plot out their schedule.

2. Biblical Studies teaches endurance.

3. A constant diet of the Word of God renews the mind and major changes occur in the students’ lives as they increase in their understanding of God.

4. Biblical Studies develops reading and communication skills.

5. Biblical studies teach students to evaluate their lives, their preaching and teaching by asking, “Is this Biblical?”

Together with the curriculum we focus on discipleship and exposure to ministry. The full-time courses allow us to support ministries and give students the opportunity to become actively involved. Because a high premium is placed on the quality of ministry, exposure to ministry takes place under the watchful eye of mentors allocated to specific students or groups of students. Subjects are presented by lecturers with knowledge and/or experience in specific subject fields.

MAIN OUTCOMES

1. Christians with an overview of the full counsel of God.

2. Christians who understand and obey the gospel.

3. Christians who are disciplined and evaluate all of life by asking, “Is this Biblical?”

4. Christians who are able to apply critical thinking to all of life.

5. A passion for God and evangelism in the believer’s life

SECOND-YEAR BIBLE COLLEGE

CCUURRRRIICCUULLUUMM –– FFOOUUNNDDAATTIIOONNSS FFOORR MMIINNIISSTTRRYY DDEEVVEELLOOPPMMEENNTT The second year curriculum focuses on equipping people to be effective ministers of the gospel. The training focuses on the triumph of the gospel through the church in the past 2000 years, sound doctrine, communicating the gospel to a lost world and being a Biblical Christian. All these areas and more are expanded by covering the following disciplines:

Church History

Systematic Theology

Practical Theology

The success of our training is based on seeking to implement the truth discovered in daily personal relationships between students, teachers and a lost world. Christ taught truth and demonstrated it in relationship and practical application. Our goal is to do the same. Our lecturers have the philosophy that we are students among students. We are passionate about our disciplines and aspire to give a spiritual impartation as well as a sound understanding of truth. The goal of our training is to establish loving, Word-based, Kingdom communities.
