“The aim is to assist the motormanufacturers, motor dealers, importers and builders”, said Ma-rawu.

Newton Park and GelvandalePost Offices are located in areas

Let's look at High Blood PressureHigh Blood Pressure is one of the non-infectious diseases, such as, Diabetes, Heart conditions, Cancer, Mental Disorder, Oral Diseases, Eye disease, Kidney disease, Muscular-Skeletal condition, etc. These diseases are commonly

known as diseases of lifestyle.High Blood Pressure has been called the “silent killer” because it is something you usually cannot feel but it may be doing a lot of harm to your body if it is not treated. Fortunately there are steps you can take to treat your high

blood pressure very effectively and also prevent damage to important organs in your body like brain, eyes, heart and kidneys.

Your heart pumps blood to every part of your body through blood vessels. High Blood Pressure means that the blood presses hard against the walls of these vessels. If this carries on untreated then it starts to cause damage to the

walls of the vessels.

If you smoke; have poor eating habits / overweight; drink more than 2 measures of alcohol daily; high stress levels at work or at home; you do not exercise much (at least for 30 minutes three times a week); a man aged between

35 and 55; a woman 45 years and older, particularly once you have reached menopause.

High Blood Pressure cannot be permanently cured. However, it can be permanently controlled. By following the plan outlined by your health provider you can get your blood pressure down to normal levels and keep it there. As

long as you follow that plan you are preventing further damage from taking place.

What is High Blood Pressure?

Who is most likely to have High Blood Pressure?

Is High Blood Pressure curable?

Next time: What can you do to prevent or control High Blood Pressure?

The Madibaz have failed to makeit a clean sweep at PEFA by losingthe Cup Final against Mustangs 1-4on Saturday, October 6.

HavingbeatenMustangson threeoccasions during the past season, the Madibaz Ladies were confront-
