Information & Protocol

Interview Date – Time Sunday, 1 March 2015, 9:00 – 17:00 hrs.

Interview Schedule Registration (Check-in) 15 minutes English skills admission test 45 minutes Rest 15 minutes Interview 15 minutes

YOU MUST arrive 75 minutes (or 1 hr 15 mins) prior to your interview time to check-in, and to do the 45-minute English skills admission test. For example, if your interview time is 10.45 hrs. You must arrive at 9.30 am, therefore, your schedule is; Check-in 9.30 hrs. English skills admission test 9.45-10.30 hrs. Interview 10.45-11.00 hrs.

Any interviewees who cannot come to the interview at the time that you are scheduled, please IMMEDIATELY contact:

The admission interview committee will assess your reason, and if the reason is legitimate, INDA will reschedule your admission interview. Examples of the legitimate reasons: - If you are studying abroad and have requested the online/telephone interview, - you are in a hospital, - you have another interview at the same time at other schools, - you are out of town on compulsory school project or any school / national

competition.

Please be ON TIME to check-in. If you are late, please come anyway, 16.00 hrs at the latest, The staff will reschedule you to have interview.

Absence from the interview will disqualify you for admission.

Interview Duration 15 minutes, three interviewers (INDA Faculty)

Venue Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University Phyathai Road, Bangkok 10330, Thailand

Arrival Time and Registration Please arrive 75 minutes (or 1 hr 15 mins) prior to your interview time at Nart Conference Room (2nd floor, at the main stair of the main lobby). There will be a 45-minute English skills admission test before the interview.



Identification Please bring your Applicant’s ID card and an official photo ID (i.e. Thai national ID card, or passport, or driving license.)

Attire We do not expect you to wear school uniform. If you prefer not to wear your school uniform, please feel free to dress the way you normally are (your self-image and style). Be yourself. Do not go out of your way, and try to impress the interviewers. However, use your judgment call to be polite, respectful, and appropriate for the occasion and place. For those who prefer to wear your school uniform, please do so.

What will be the English skills admission test ? Within 45 minutes, there are 2 parts: 1. 10 multiple choice reading questions 2. 200-250 words written test according to a given topic

What will be the interview questions? The interview objective is to assess an applicant the thinking and English communication skills, in response to the interview questions. The responses to the interview questions are not right or wrong, and are not meant to measure any specific knowledge. No particular knowledge, such as architecture, is required. However, general knowledge of current issues of the world, Asia, and Thailand, and knowledge relevant to creative – critical design thinking, culture, and environment are useful. The interviewee is also expected to have general knowledge about INDA.

How do I prepare for the interview? 1. Practice discussion with a native English speaking teacher in response to any

particular topic or question. 2. Have a good night sleep, so you will be fresh and alert. Try not to stress out.



Would the interview be challenging? Of course. The interviewers do not expect one single correct answer, but rather your ability to think, analyze, explain, take a position, give good arguments, and be able to communicate and express your opinions proficiently in English.

How many points for the English skills admission test, and the

interview? English skills admission test 10 % of the total application scores Interview 25 % of the total application scores.

How many will be admitted? 80

When is the announcement for the admission result? 25 March 2015

Could my parent(s) come along? Yes. However, after registration (check-in), parents are not allowed upstairs.
