Increased capacIty cable bus system

Our engineers have been working hard to develop and launch a new Superior Bus system. The new design opens up great potential for projects with high current and low voltage drop demands. With a cross section of up to 48” by 16” encompassing up to 80 conductors up to 1250MCM each, the current carrying capacity is increased to 10400 amperes.

In production right now is the 30” by 12” cable bus. Developed for a data center client to achieve specific server demands, this system has several special features - it is re-designed for added strength, rigidity and short circuit forces withstanding.

The electrical properties were verified with FEA software, routines Superior Bus now available in system sizes up to 48” x 16”.

The main run of this cable bus project is 1689’, and the system production will be completed in May. We look forward to helping

solve our customers’ toughest challenges with this new extra large Superior Bus profile.

Z299 QualIty control audIt

A nuclear facility client in Ontario recently requested that our facility be validated to the Z299 Quality Control standard. We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the audit.

Superior Tray is always looking for improvements in our processes and this audit was a great opportunity to analyze and further improve our workflow. Our Head of Quality Control worked closely with the auditor to explain the quality control steps that we take at each operation of manufacturing.

The CSA Z299 standard covers 21 aspects of the product lifecycle and is comparable to the ISO 9000 series of quality assurance standards.

Aspects such as calibration of our measurement equipment, incoming inspection, document control, and production inspections were demonstrated.

Continuous improvement exceeds beyond any standard, and it is something we are tirelessly working on every day. Congratulations to our Quality Control department on this achievement.

The first batch of our new install manual is printed and available upon request.

The manual is designed to help contractors and system integrators plan efficiently and install our equipment. Detailed illustrations for Superior Bus, wall seals, lugs, and terminations are all included in the package.

Available as pdf, booklet format, or convenient pocket sized edition, the Install Manual can be requested on our website or by contacting Head Office in Surrey, BC.

data center World global conFerence 2015

Superior Tray is proud to announce our participation in the AFCOM Data Center World Global Conference trade show in Las Vegas, which ran from April 19 to April 23 of 2015.
