Our Moderator

Catherine Parkay oversees InsideTrack’s research and thought leadership agenda with higher education luminaries and industry partners. Catherine was previously responsible for Program Development at InsideTrack advising institutions in designing student support programs to improve enrollment, retention, and graduation, and managing those programs as a Campus Director for numerous universities. Additionally, Catherine spent several years working directly with students as an InsideTrack Master Coach. She volunteers her time and expertise as a mentor to first-generation students and as President of the Junior League of Portland, OR. Prior to InsideTrack, Catherine was Assistant Director of Enrollment Management at Washington State University where she holds a B.A. from the Honors College in Anthropology and English.

Angela Gaffney firmly believes in the transformative power of education and is passionate about helping others achieve their potential. As a first-generation student, she credits individualized support from professors as an underlying factor in graduating with distinction. Angela has held both enrollment and retention coaching roles at InsideTrack for a variety of institutions before moving into management. Since then she’s led professional career coaching teams in the adult and professional segment. Prior to joining InsideTrack over 3 years ago, Angela was an admissions counselor for Western Washington University. She brings a unique perspective to career development having worked for an Executive Search Firm before shifting her career toward education. Angela holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and completed an evening M.B.A. program while working full time.

Chris is an Executive Career Coach currently working with clients in the Columbia University School of Continuing Education graduate departments in New York City. Chris has been coaching at InsideTrack for five years, but was a university student and administrator mentor in Portland, Oregon and Szeged, Hungary for the five years previous. His professional experiences span a broad range of industries, which allows him to understand and communicate the career development challenges that his clients present to him. Chris’s career development mantra: Know your strengths, present your value, own your path.

Caitlin Collins joined InsideTrack in 2010. The company's mission of empowering students through coaching drew Caitlin to her first role as a Prospective Student Coach for working professional students. Caitlin has also supported the launch of several innovative new services, including Graduate Admissions Counseling for Golden Gate University and Executive Career Coaching for Columbia University. She now serves as Campus Manager and Career Coach for PhD students at Walden University. Prior to InsideTrack, Caitlin spent over four years working in higher education as a writing tutor, admissions operations supervisor, and volunteer coordinator for several universities. Caitlin earned her BA in English from the University of Portland and her MA in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin. A native Oregonian, she enjoys exploring all of Portland's natural and cultural offerings. Caitlin also enjoys running, writing, knitting, and cooking in her spare time.

Steve Cohn is an InsideTrack-certified Master Coach who joined the company in 2008 and has coached over 1,000 enrolled graduate and undergraduate-adult students toward academic and professional/career success, fulfillment, and stress reduction. He specializes in providing a holistic model of coaching. In addition to bringing experience from across industries (media, telecommunications, tech start-up, higher education services, nonprofits, consulting, and strategic writing), Steve understands the demands of rigorous graduate degree programs. He was recognized as an outstanding MBA scholar in Marketing by the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Steve offers a radiant passion for helping people envision and achieve their heartfelt goals and dreams. Outside of coaching, Steve consults as a professional grant writer. Prior to working at InsideTrack, Steve served as the chief-of-staff for The McLaughlin Group public affairs TV show in Washington, DC. He lives (and very often laughs) in downtown Portland, Oregon.
