The purpose of this Summer Assignments is to give you some extra practice on concepts that you have learned in the Pre-Algebra course and that will be needed for your success in the Algebra 1 course. You should be able to complete the assignment without a calculator.

These are the topics included in this assignment:

• Integers and Operation with Integers • Rational Numbers and Operations with Rational Numbers • Single variable equations: One-step and Two-step • Single variable inequalities: One-step

In case you need to review the topics before you get started log into Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org).
