I studied domestic abuse against women with a specifc end goal which was to

attempt to raise national awareness. As my chosen area o abuse is domestic violence

against women there will probably be an age range o 16 and onwards. However when

you actually think about the topic itsel its something that doesnt really have a

precise age range as it could happen to anyone. ut i I had to set an age rating or

my short flm it would be 16!. ased on my chosen area o abuse I believe that there

really isnt a particular class it points towards to" however" i I had to be concise and

based on my research it would mainly point towards to the lower middle class andskilled working class# $% and perhaps &'. (hen looking at the scope o the audience

ma)ority o them would probably be women and teens as it is mainly ocused on them.

class. ased on the theme o my flm I think that it would attract the *+eormers*. As

the capacity to be trusted. /hose victimised endure physically and mentally. /hey

who are unortunately going through this condition need to be ocused more in the

awareness flmsdocumentaries. ersonally" I eel that because this topic is very

common and all round well known" people dont take it seriously anymore and it has

come to the state where individuals think that it is wrong to interere in peoples

personal lie.

flm is a chance or me to educate mothers who are not only worried about how their

married lie would turn out to be" but who are also passionate about the up2bringing o

their children. /his flm does not only go or women who are married" but also

inormative to women who are dubious about their partner or how healthy their

are the supporting roles who really brings out the purpose o this short flm. Cinas

class teacher 87iss Adriana ;wanepole9 involves in this story when she starts to get

suspicious about Cinas bad school report and as well as Cialls. /his leads to the point

where the policeman 87r +oyce $ruise9 is involved due to Cinas school teacher.

7ike is ane4ample o why many women around the world su:er in their relationship.

He is a controlling" possessive and manipulative man who abuses his wie or his

pleasure. /his character reveals the true picture o how ruthless and aggressive an

abuser can be. /his can be a wakeup call to women to stop themselves rom alling or

men like 7ike. eople like 7ike walk around the world wearing a aDade# this is how

they lure women into this type o situation. Individuals like 7ike will disguise their true

colours until they know they have their partners trust and love" then use them as the

weapon and get very manipulative.

=eronica is a normal housewie who gets brutally abused by her psychotic husband"

and like any abused victim she turns into a very insecure and timid person. However"

she has that tiny source o courage that keeps her going through all the pain. >sing acharacter like =eronica I want people around the world to realise how awul domestic

violence can be" so then people would actually visualise the pain and not )ust hear

about it and orget it the ne4t minute. /he character o the children in the narrative

will help me achieve this urther by guilt tripping parents who do not really take their

However" based on the truth children who end up in these type o situations are

Eoing by the narrative" the children are struggling to hide what is happening in their

amily but soon reveal it to their teacher. /his is the spark that leads to an end o all

bad.

any flm genre there will always be the helper who gives hope to the character who

happening" she soon discovers the reason behind her continuous absence at school

stereotypical ideas about women. (hen 7ike tries to orce himsel upon =eronica she

reuses" which gets him aggressive as a result. 7ike is very old school and believes

batterers /here is no single e4planation behind or abuse. =iolence is a method or

attempting to practice power and control over another person. Cumerous batterers

were casualties o abuse as kids or originated rom amilies in which spousal abusewas common. It is essential to recollect" nonetheless" that not all individuals who were

casualties o abuse as kids will transorm into batterers. However" in my narrative

be. I will be using the techni5ue o ash forwardingwhenever there is a scene o

7ikes actions# which eventually gets worse" the vision will get stronger# meaning that

the result o the conrontation would have an intense e:ect.

I have not ollowed the typical structure template" instead I have decided to mi4 the

scenes up a little bit by using the techni5ue o Gashbacks and Gash orwarding. /herewill be Gashbacks when Ciall and Cina fnally open up about their athers abuse to

their teacher. &oing this will also help the audience to understand how it all began and

when the children start realising what was happening.

obstacles would she need to ace frst in order to achieve it In some cases there has

been events where the abuser has even killed or hurt the helper. ;o the upcoming

obstacles that Adriana will ace can make the audience suspicious and 5uestion them

o whether the mother and children will be sae"

(hen it comes to making a short flm on topics like this" there will be a 5uestion o i it

might be one sided. ased on the act that I am a girl" there will be chances o me

being one sided as I am pro)ecting it rom the women point o view. As I am ocusing

However" in some cases it does happen vice versa. >nortunately" we still live in a

society where women are still seen as the most vulnerable" powerless and valuable.

situations like this" in reality.

I want my flm to end on a good note so it will create a positive energy within the

audience. /he flm is about how one good deed can help someone# this indirectly

points out to the audience. I want people to be aware o what is going on around them

and be more caring about others and be helpul. Co matter how bad the problem is

you should be able to help someone# even )ust by talking to them and giving them

advice. /he answer is not given straight away as it wouldnt get the message out to

the audience" making the audience an4ious is the key to accomplish this. /he ending

o the flm should not create a one sided )udgment as it would demolish the whole

purpose o the movie. I want the ending to be a balanced yet a 5uite orceul

message" so it would imprint in the audiences mind# preventing them rom going out

with a one2sided opinion. 7y main aim is when the audience come out every single

individual should have that passion and determination to help someone. It doesnt

have to be something ma)or" it can be as simple as holding the door open or

someone" or help someone who is unable to carry something. In order to remove a

mountain the key is to start carrying away the small stone" andjust do small things

with great loveand let people know that one may walk the tallest mountain one step

at a time.
