Federation’s Rural Education Conference will provide participants with the opportunity to update knowledge on the provision of education to rural and remote students and develop understanding of Department of Education policies related to rural/remote contexts — particularly in relation to staff ing, funding and closing the achievement gap.

The conference is a meeting place for rural and remote teachers who are actively engaged in Federation,

and will provide the opportunity for participants to engage on topics related to teacher experiences in rural and remote settings through workshop sessions — including staff ing, teacher housing, the breadth of curriculum, provision of education including pre-school and TAFE as well as incentives.
