Incas used a variety of methods, from conquest to peaceful, to a large portion of western South America• They now live in Peru

•Time Line •

2500 BC - Around this time people in the region began farming. They grew potatoes, corn, cotton, and other crops. They also started forming villages. 900 BC - The Chain civilization begins to form in the northern Andes highlands. 850 BC - The Chain build the city and temple of Chain de Haunter. It is located around 160 miles north of where Lima, Peru is today.

700 BC - The Caracas civilization begins to form.

200 BC - The Chain civilization collapses.

Warfare • They had to go to

warfare and they had to have weapons to protect them from warfare.• The warriors were trained to be

fearless at all times and never surrender on the battlefield. The soldiers were told by their leaders to never feel alone as their Gods were with them on the battlefield.

Incans had no system of slavery. Instead, the government expected all citizens to put in their fair share of hard work for the empire as a whole. Incan society because everything was built by peasants fulfilling their labor duties. In fact, when the Spaniards invaded they were shocked to find that the Incans would rather do hard work than give up some of their material goods.
