Written content – for my double page spread I followed the codes and conventions of a music magazine by using a mixture of pull quotes/ grab quotes and a good quality written content. I think the use of pull quotes really help because it could create a sense of relation to the reader on what the artist has said. I used inspirational quotes from artist for the pull quotes to make readers more inspired and more appealing to the audience. The written article is also in columns which follows the codes and conventions of a typical article for a magazine and I also used the font size 11 which is the standard size for a article text font so that it is easier to read.

The image and title of my article page – The image for my article is connected to my written article. The article talks about having a rough background and I wanted to relate that with the image so for my image I chose a background that has markings and dents and this conflicts with costume of the artist because he looks like he doesn’t belong there. I chose the title “behind the artist” to create more curiosity and could interest potential readers. For the font I used a mixture of effect to make the titles stand out and I think it mixes well with the background of the image.

I followed the codes and conventions of typical music magazine article by using the magazines logo on both pages. I also included the month and year of the magazine and also the website. I also credited the writer and photographer of the articles image.
