The Church Health Team has conducted a survey to determine the needs of our pastors and churches. Among those needs that were discovered we found prayer, discipleship and evangelism. We hope to address these needs in your church at your invitation.

Kevin Carrothers and I have been visiting the pastors in CCBA in order to get to know them better and to discover ways CCBA can be helpful to their ministries. We also spend time in prayer with them. I encourage you to be in prayer for all of the churches in our association. If you have a church prayer list I encourage you to pray for several churches and their pastors each month or each quarter and rotate the names enabling you to pray for all of our CCBA churches within a year.

The Church Health Team is also encouraging your church to provide witness training for your members within the next twelve months. We have a 90 minute conference we can lead at your church. Please email, [email protected], or call me at (217) 483-2471 for assistance.

Pastor Ramon Eduardo Ortiz Martinez, his wife Ingrid, daughters, Jessica and Rosie, will be our guests in the month of October.

Pastor Ortiz is the guest speaker for the 59th Capital City Baptist Associational Annual Meeting October 19 at Pasfield Baptist Church.

He is available to speak at your church. If you think outside the box, Wednesday and Sunday, it will be easier to get him or them. I will be compiling his schedule so let me know if you’re interested in having him at your church.

If you would like to help sponsor the family financially, send a check to Capital City Baptist Association and put Pastor Ortiz Family in the memo.
