Transcript of In search of Meaning Dolpo, Nepal
If you are willing to search for an answer-
what is the Meaning of your busy life? Then
this long mystical trip exactly for you.
The agendaWe'll have only tents as accommodation.
Yoga in the morning; Talks and
meditations in the evening;
During the trip we will meet and
converse with monks and wise people.
At the end of trip you will get an answer to your question about
Meaning.
Conditions to join the hike:
1. You have to provide a recommendation, so that for the expedition we wouldn’t include
accidental people – who are leaning towards conflicts, are aggressive,
likes to drink a bit to much and has mental illness for whom the high
passes could provoke attacks. 2. Alcohol is forbidden during the
whole trip. 3. Spartan style - no 5 star hotels,
personal bottlers and so on.
3 day. Fly to Nepalgunj (150m)At 150m, Nepalgunj is much lower and one of the hottest places in Nepal where the temperature can rise high up to 44’c in summer.
4 day. Fly fight to Juphal (2490m) and trek to Kageni (2272m).
Along the way we pass wild marijuana, walnut trees, cactus, agave, and the occasional lizard zipping across the trail.
5 day. Trek to Reichi (2940m). Trekking time 6–7 h.The trail along the Suligad River is verdant, with a mixed, semi-
tropical forest. It covers beautiful canyon views. Bon inscriptions appear to be freshly painted on rocks.
6 day. Trek to Ringmo (3615m). Around 5 h walk. Shortly after Reichi we find the amchi (local equivalent of our naturopaths) The town of Ringmo has many
traditional older two-story houses with animals (yak, dzo, horses) living underneath.
7 day. Explore Ringmo. This rest day is important for our acclimatisation to high altitude. It’s also a joy to gently explore the village and
monastery to rejuvenate from the rigors of the trail. During the day we will go for a lakeside ramble and praise the lake for
its pure beauty.
8 day. Trek to riverside camp (3677m). Trekking time 7 h. This morning we trek along this exciting section of our trail— with rugged hiking along a high cliff side trail dropping steeply into the lake. This section was the source for the most amazing mountain scenes filmed for the
movie, “Himalaya.”
9 day. Nangdala Base Camp (3750m).Trekking time 6–7 hours. We are now entering the main upper section of
Dolpo and that sooner the landscape starts to get more rigid and the air more thin. The rock formations are dramatic – changing in 100 yards from vertical sandstone walls folding into horizontal. Canyon walls rise 305m vertically.
10 day. Shey Gompa (4375m). We face about three-hours of steep uphill trail to reach the summit of Nangdala
(5345m) — marked, like many hillocks and mountain passes, with colorful Buddhist prayer flags. In summer and early fall, people come to camp in the valley to gather the
Chordyceps mushroom and caterpillar symbiosis. Known as the “yarsagumba”, Chordyceps is a medicinal that brings hard cash into the Upper Dolpo.
11 day. Exploration at Shey Gompa. An enjoyable rest day to recover, visit Shey Monastery and
relish the views of Crystal Mountain.
12 day. To Namgung (4430m). Trekking time 6–7 hours.Shey Gompa marks the junction of several trails once used by the old salt trading caravans and today by trekkers. We
begin our day hiking to Sela— another pass found at 5090m.
13 day to Saldang (4090m). Trek time about 4-5 hours. After lunch, explore a school and a monastery and observe
village life.
14 day to Nisal Gaon (3750m). Trekking time 6 hours. Our path leads north, following the Nagaon Khola
River to Gungar Khola which flows from the northwest.
15 day to Shimen Gaon (3790m). Trekking time 7–8 hours.
This morning, we’ll first visit Yangjer Gompa, one of the most important religious sites of the area.
17 day. Trek to Thinkyu-Tinje Gaon (4150m). Trekking time 5–6 hours.Today we trek along the Panzang Khola riverside trail, passing several ancient meditation caves seen in the distance. Most of the time we’ll trek easy along the
riverbank. Tinje village which is also one of the closest villages to Tibet used to have a long trading history with Tibet.
18-19 day to Chharka Bhot (4310m).From Tenje Gaon until we reach Chharka Bhot, we’ll encounter only seasonal yak pastures. We’ll pass no villages nor hike a wide trail; but
consider that this trail has been in use from the ancient times.
20 day to Nulungsumde Kharka (4920m). Trekking time 8-9h. Once we depart on the trail from Chharka, we pass through
no villages for another two days. We continue our Dolpo trek, passing several kharkas (pastures).
21 day. 7-8 hours trek to Niwar and Jungben Pass. We start our trail early this morning as we face a rigorous day reaching Jungben
Pass. After about three hours uphill, we reach the summit of Niwar. After crossing the first pass of Niwar (5200 m), we have about two more hours before
we reach the second — Jungben La (5486 m).
22 day. 6 hours trek to Sanghta (3780m). We’ll find ourselves entering the highlands of Mustang. Its among the most
remote part of our trip and if lucky you could either encounter a snow leopard or come across their foot prints. We continue our trek down the arid mountainside
which offers many excellent views of the Mustang landscape.
23 day. 7-8 hours trek to Phalyak (3175m). we start climbing and spend most of the morning making a high traverse,
crossing many ridges until we finally reach the 'pass' at about 4500 meters. From the crest, we have a magnificent vista, looking out to snow-capped peaks and
down to Mustang's patch-work of trails and villages far below.
24 day. Trek to Jomsom. We climb to a ridge 400 meters above Phalyak, and then head directly
south down a steep, sandy trail towards Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang, back to 'civilization' .

WITH TIME YOU UNDERSTAND THAT
BUSINESS AND WORK FOR SOME REASON DOESN’T BRING CLOSER TO
THE HAPPINESS
“I WORKED THE WHOLE LIFE, SO IT HAPPENS FOR THE
CAT’S ASSHOLE,
ONLY LEFT ONE – PRAYER AND FASTING.
IN MY YARD PEACOCKS, WITH CHAINS TIED
HIPPOPOTAMUS,
DON’T LOOK, THAT I’AM DRINKING AT MORNING - THAT
IS YOGA IN OUR LATITUDES”
BORIS GREBENSHCHIKOV ABOUT “A MONK WHO SOLD FERRARI” AND ACQUIRED THE BELARUSIAN IQ
AUGMENTOR.
IF YOU BELIEVE THAT HAPPINESS – TO ACQUIRE
AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE THAN THIS ROAD – ROAD TO THE
MOON HOPING TO FIND THE SOURCE OF LIGHT
GATES TO HAPPINESS ONLY OPENS WHEN
WALKING A CONSCIOUS SEARCH
OF THE MEANING ROAD.
If walking the traditional road luck is met just as a
momentary and often rare phenomenon, slightly better
chances than meeting a fairy.
What is the Meaning
of my job?
Did you try GOOGLE?
The search for the meaning, idea or to find a solution to the stuck
problem requires to pass certain rites of passage. These rites of passage can be found in many different tribes’ myths
like The Hero’s Journey.
Interesting that this path regularities in every myth are the same.
Searching for the meaning, solution or ideas are gates to the unknown. Once crossed you can find stuff that you
couldn’t imagine today.
Usually The Heaven Office is late by one year, but
during the trip the answer could appear in a few weeks.
This is a special trip, that is why to make the first step you have to have courage
and determination.
Our trip – a way to feel freedom and to be with yourself. To leave for
some time the mundane world and to explore the spiritual space, where the routine
leaves your horizon – with job routine,
family, friends, etc.
The trip – is not an intellectual game – but clear deliberate,
physical and spiritual crossover.
This is only possible to reach when combining all three
elements:
1. Body. Every morning we will start with yoga exercises, because Your body is the temple of Your Spirit.
3. Spirituality. Meditation and communication (Meaning as a perpetual change at companies or life). During the trip we will meet and converse with monks and spiritual gurus. You will be able to ask beforehand prepared questions, share ideas or discuss the Meaning of life.
Overcoming high mountain passes
will allow to start a natural wave crystallization mechanism and
receive a reply to the most difficult
question..
THE MAIN QUESTION IS
What is the Meaning?
