TRINITY/FUDAN EXCHANGE IN SHANGHAICommitted to urban, place-based learning, Trinity in Shanghai offers students the opportunity to spend a semester or full year of study in a dynamic Asian cityscape. Shanghai is ancient and contemporary, cosmopolitan, economically dynamic, and sophisticated, rivaling New York, London, and Tokyo. Established in 2011, Trinity in Shanghai is based at Fudan University’s School of Social Development and Public Policy (SSDPP). The program allows students to explore firsthand a variety of issues in urban studies, politics, economic development, and related areas in liberal arts and is designed to immerse students in language and culture, combining academic rigor with hands-on, real-world learning. Students are challenged inside and outside the classroom and are encouraged to adopt the city of Shanghai as their laboratory. History, politics, art, culture, language, literature, and the economy come alive through regular academic excursions, city-based research projects, and internships.
