Backstops for Belt Conveyors and Bucket Elevators

High Speed Backstops High Speed Backstops with Torque Limiting Low Speed Backstops

• High Speed Backstops are located on the 2nd or 1st gearbox reductionshaft and prevent reverse motion of conveyor belts or bucket elevators.

• They are equipped with sprag lift-off X which ensures a wear freefreewheeling operation when the backstop is rotating at high speedswith the gearbox shaft. In this state of operation, the backstop workswear-free, i.e. with unlimited service life.

• Maintenance free

• Cost effective

• High Speed Backstops with Tor-que Limiting are used in beltconveyors with multiple drivesand prevent reverse motion ofconveyor belts.

• They solve the problem of un -even load distribution in multi-ple drives.

• They are equipped with spraglift-off X which ensures a wearfree freewheeling operationwhen the backstop is rotating athigh speeds with the gearboxshaft. In this state of operation,

the backstop works wear-free, i.e.with unlimited service life.

• Maintenance free

• The integrated torque limitersprotect the gearboxes andbackstops from overload bydynamic peak torques.

• Smaller gearboxes can be usedwithout negatively effecting thesafety.

• Available with or without con-trollable release function

• Low Speed Backstops are located on pulley or head shafts of gearboxesand prevent reverse motion of conveyor belts or bucket elevators.

• Taconite seals protect the backstop from contamination with dust ordirt.

• Low Speed Backstops allow the removal of the drive unit when theconveyor belt is loaded.
