Mrs. Lupe Vallejo Chambers passed away peacefully Sunday morning, August 12, 2018 at the age of 87 at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Georgia. Born on December 14, 1931, Lupe was originally from Savage, MT. Born to Desi and Paula Vallejo, she was the oldest of ten children, Chris na Finnicum, Elisa Olsen, Lydia Wandler, Andy Vallejo, Victor Vallejo, Esther Sorensen, Lola Herbert, Roy Vallejo, and Margaret Seigle. In the mid 1950’s, she met her rst husband, Harold Yelle (1930-1971), while working as a nurse in Taunton, MA. While in Massachuse s, she raised her rst son, Harold Yelle II, of Raleigh, NC. Lupe married her second husband, John Chambers (1930-2003) in 1960 and raised her three sons Harold, Eric Chamber, of Raleigh, NC, and David Chamber, of Atlanta, GA. A er raising her children, she returned to nursing for 15 years. She worked at Women’s Prison and at Peace College in Raleigh un l she re red.

In 2015, she moved to Atlanta to join her son David, his wife Wendy and their children, Jacqueline, Kevin and his wife, Joanna Chapin, who reside in Concord, CA. Surviving grandchildren, of her son Eric and his wife Wendy are John and Samantha. Surviving grandchildren, of her son Harold and his wife Donna are Aaron, Rachel, and Kathleen and her husband Daniel Bergevin, and their two children Anne and Rob from Washington, NC.

Lupe always remained ac ve in her community and church. She loved doing cra s, playing Bridge, interpre ng for the La no community, collec ng for the needy, making ower arrangements for the church, and she loved the Lord. Lupe was happiest when she was around other people, and would

nd ways to take part in the lives of as many people as she could. She would help friends start and sustain their small businesses by providing materials, nancial, and moral support in me of need. As a result, Lupe built a complex and broad variety of friends and acquaintances. People, who knew Lupe’s heart, loved and respected her for her faithfulness and perseverance. She was loved and respected by many people, and will be missed.
