Join Sather, a former Dungeons and Dragon master, and Heather, someone who sometimes wishes she lived 40 million years ago and had flying dinosaurs to ride, to play a game, all over the land, in a world of our own group invention. We will cooperatively create our own world, our own characters, and play by the rules that Sather sets for us (somebody has to be the boss). Swimming, songs, and cooperative and improv games to loosen up as well. Camp Cuisine July 4-8, 9:30am to 1:30pm, $110; Ages 10-14. Join Heather in creating a new cuisine each day of camp, focusing on ethnic traditions, creative augmentations, and local produce we pick ourselves from the garden, with a big lunch at the end! All participants will have new talents in the kitchen that they will be proud to share with their families and friends. Gluten and Dairy free options will be included. Swim break and outside play, too. No need to bring lunch. Two Week Mythology Theatre Camp August 1-5 and August 8-12, $200; 9:30am to 1:30pm, extra rehearsal and evening show on Friday, August 12th; Ages 8-14. Led by Sather and Heather. We will take a classic myth and, foundation in hand, turn it on its head to create a comic drama of epic proportions, leading our audience all over field and forest in pursuit of the show. Learning the myth, using improvisational techniques and games to ground the story and develop our scenes, amending roles and lines to give everyone the amount of participation satisfying to them, we will create a totally unique theatre experience for all involved. Those interested less in acting but more in set, costume design, and back stage support are also encouraged to sign up. Swim breaks, weather permitting,
