    On the story line

    In this chapter, the writer attempts to understand, in

    detail, Lee Shins behaviour, thoughts andmotivation. He observed Lee Shin everyday and felt

    Lee Shin was a unique and weird person. He foundthat Lee Shin have a lot of hobbies that are exercise,playing harmonica, flute and collecting butterflies.

    Lee Shin also like to sit at the verandah when heplayed his music instruments or when he free.Onenight after his dinner, the observer goes to Lee Shinshouse. In the same time, Lee Shin was blowing hisflute.

    The observer listen and his attention is arrested by

    the flutes appearance. The observer has never seen

    is kind before. It is an amazing, intricately decorated

    piece of bamboo the like of which certainly cannot

    come from this country. Lee Shin suddenly stops

    playing and looks at the observer. He puts the flute

    carefully on the small table beside him. The observer

    moves and Lee Shin cringes in his chair as if recoiling

    from the observers advance.

    Mistrusted people From the beginning he has kept to himself as if

    he mistrusted people. Page 31, paragraph 3, line 2.

    Uncommunicative As a neighbour, he is uncommunicative and sitsby himself at the verandah, late into the evening.Page 31. paragraph 3, line 5.

    Strange person This is the part of Lee Shins behaviour that theobserver finds strange. Page 32, paragraph 2, line 3.

    Have many hobbies He is once again seated in the verandah, on achair and he started something new. Page 33,paragraph 2, line 2.
