Legislation
Nederman participated in a working group with
the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to shape new
UK legislation which came into force May 2008
to “bring about a significant and measurable
improvement in the coverage and effectiveness of ...
LEV in Great Britain”.

Commercial Development
Nederman endeavour to provide single supplier
solutions; customers no longer have to shop
around, weigh competing supplier claims or
implement patchwork fixes because Nederman’s
integrated “one stop shop” solutions are trusted
and proven in industry.
This objective has driven recent acquisitions both
to increase the product range and enhance
capabilities. Fumex installations (acquired 2007)
were the UK market leaders in automotive
installation of vehicle exhaust and dust extraction
systems. Since acquisition, Nederman has taken
forward an extended (lubrication systems, hose and
cable reels etc) and more structured programme.
Arboga-Darenth (acquired 2008) manufacture
the heavy-duty coolant recycling and waste metal
management products than Nederman needed to
provide waste management solutions for metal
machining applications.

Nederman Machining Concept Total Solutions, working in harmony
Clear Return on Investment
An accurate supporting “Business Case” is
essential for major investment so we’ve
highlighted the key benefit areas for quick
reference and can provide more detail on enquiry.
• Integrate products seamlessly to create process
solutions for machining and metal processing
applications
• Rugged range gives competitive costs of
ownership in the most demanding production
environments
For More profit, Improved productivity,Better environment
Oil Mist Filters –Totally scalable...from single CNCmachines to centralsystems coveringmany units
Solutions to cover multiplemachine tools and severalmachines
• Swarf Handling
Many companies know the problems created by
huge waste metal volumes. Nederman ensure all
types of chips and turnings can be converted into
compressed briquettes whilst entrained coolant can
also be recycled. This is achieved through a
comprehensive product line incorporating Vacuum
Recovery, Filtration, Crushers, Centrifuges,
Briquetting and Conveyors to enable end-to-end
solutions.
Clear ROI... Lower storage & transportation costs
(reduced waste volume), volume reduction and waste
refinement means greatly increased scrap value, reduced
coolant costs (filtered, recycled and returned),
simplified waste management processes
• Clean Air
Reasons to improve air quality are many; modern
Health & Safety legislation imposes an
increasingly stringent Duty of Care on all
employers to reduce air contamination and identify
and manage risks (oil mist settlement can cause
slips and falls...). Economic impacts are also
significant if oil mist, fumes or dust are allowed to
circulate or settle. Besides the multiple immediate
and long term staff health risks, there’s potential to
disrupt production (oil mist often affects electronic
control systems) as well as the overhead of
incorporating regular cleaning processes into
schedules.
Clear ROI... Reduced staff sick leave, possible
reduced insurance costs, reduced equipment
maintenance costs, improved productivity (less
unscheduled downtime), lower cleaning costs
• Coolant Filtration
High speed cutting machines need large coolant
volumes. Nederman’s constant filtration systems
can serve multiple machines, removing sediment,
particles and oil. Keeping coolant clean means it
lasts longer, performs better and maintains
optimum operating conditions.
Clear ROI... Lower coolant costs (usage & disposal),
Improved productivity (fewer coolant changes),
Reduced plant maintenance costs (machine & tool wear,
breakdown etc.)
Capture and convertwaste metal: reduce cost, raise value

High vacuum solutions forautomated swarf capture andmachine cleaning
Reduced Risks
Vehicle exhaust, dust (from sanding and grinding)
and weld fume pose significant health hazards. The
resulting elevated risks of asthma, lung disease and
even cancers are increasingly being recognised.
Nederman can help you manage and minimise
workshop health risks via the most comprehensive
range of installed and portable products available
in the UK.
We also provide hose and cable reel distribution
systems for all workshop media (air, oil, water,
grease, power etc) to minimise the safety risks
posed by trailing hoses (automotive accident rates
exceed the industry average; slips and trips account
for 20% of the total and “avoiding trailing leads” is
HSE’s primary recommendation**) and manual
handling (”strains and sprains” account for over
33% of all automotive accidents, frequently
leading to lengthy absences**)

And Better Business...
But ergonomic design is about more than Health &
Safety; workshop productivity, overheads and
customer perception (your “brand image”) can all
be positively impacted. Equipment operating life is
also extended and there can be major savings on
heating (keep workshop doors closed), cleaning
and decorating. So you’re not only investing to
keep valuable staff healthier and happier, you’re
also increasing customer satisfaction whilst
creating measurable bottom line benefits!
For All Vehicle sectors
If it moves then Nederman supply the workshops;
we install into production, service and maintenance
facilities for cars, LCV, HGV, bodyshop,
emergency, military, plant, agricultural etc.
Nederman’s unique blend of product range and
specialist support has led to close VM relationships
too, covering not only product approval but
increasingly extending on into workshop design
consultancy and new product development for
leading manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes,
Toyota, Volvo and many more...
