Increased the reach of the LS, beyond physical attendance on the day

Additional strands of content

Better engagement of emerging technologies such as Bio, Nano or Environment

Higher quality content promoted through digital channels More engagement with members and non-members, in

the UK and around the world

This is the approach we call Knowledge Transfer

The benefits of change

Increase the reach of the Learned Society to make a difference on the key issues and policies and become

a reference point for Government and more engineering sectors, employers, members and non-

members.

Add new and more effective strands of engineering knowledge, to be transferred through both traditional

and digital channels of communication and engagement.

The engineering stays with the Engineers Divisions and Groups together with Engineering

Directorate determine the topics and approve the engineering content

The propositions are developed by the Marketers Rounded propositions, thoroughly researched and

validated, with identified audiences promoted and distributed through the customer channel of choice

The financial risk and resource sits with the Executive With two directors providing oversight and commitment to

each business case and the overall revenue target

The TSB programme is aimed to be 10% larger than it was in 2013 through specialised staff support in event production, marketing, sponsorship and logistics.

Dedicated staff teams with specialised skill sets are able to scan all engineering events around the UK

Activity in Centres and Regions monitored via “Near You”

Responsibility on staff to avoid and/or add resources to IMechE Regional activities

RSB has Chairman’s fund to be able to bid for support from central Knowledge Transfer team
