• We are going to start with a simple sentence.

• Work with your partner to add adjectives and adverbs to begin to make your sentence interesting

• Then add figurative language to improve the sentence further.

The mead hall was the meeting place.

King Hrothgar told of his sorrow.

Beowulf fought Grendel.
