IMPROVEMENT OF RAMP SITE FOR WORKDAY-RESTORE ST. LOUIS
Wheelchair Lift Project
Background The Workday is one of eight units that makes up the non-profit entity Restore St. Louis. The overarching goal of Workday is to equip local and non-local volunteers to “directly assist the fatherless, the widow, immigrants and refugees” [1]. This assistance comes to fruition in many different ways, from mowing a lawn to performing major repairs to make a bathroom handicap-friendly. The work is done entirely by a volunteer force through monthly workdays and week-long team events throughout the summer.
A major facet of the Workday is building wheelchair ramps for homes in the city.
