Ever heard of the saying “you are what you eat”? Oddly, it’s in line with several same quotes like “you are who you’re friends are” or something like “you are what your type of movies are”. Yes, I know, some of these phrases are dubious enough, plus some of them are actually just the opinions of some people. This means that it’s not necessarily true for every case in the world. But with regards to the first one – “you are what you eat” – you can all but say that it’s on the real side of things.

How can I say that? Suppose that you are a person who basically eats stuff delivered by that motorcycle delivery dude. Pizzas, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries, soft drinks, ice creams and other fast food served food items are the common things included in this roster. Trying to enumerate all of these unhealthy food items would take us more time than you can imagine. Anyways if you aresomeone who fancies these kinds of food and are most likely to consume them at great amounts frequently, then I can already classify you under the ‘unhealthy person’ list as you are possibly living the unhealthy lifestyle no one would ever want to have.

One reason for people to avoid having healthy foods to eat would be the fact that it tastes quite bland as compared to the fast food items – or so some anti-healthy food supporters says. Of course, the whole concept of deliciousness and tastiness vary from one person to another, making several complications. Then again, you can’t really deny the fact that these healthy foods should be eaten with some spices or oil (both of which should also be healthy!) or with other great tasting but healthy meats like fish meat.

Of course for those of you who are quite keen on the idea of eating fast foods and can’t quite put yourself to eat such ‘boring’ food items, easy to follow healthy easy recipes are made available for you. These recipes are available on the web, just search for the type of main ingredient of healthy food you want and always affix the keywords “healthy recipes” for you to have only the healthy ones.

But if you’re already on the healthy side of eating –plus you can’t really put yourself to cook – then you should just improve your personal healthy food list. Use the local library as your resource and search for food items rich in vitamins and minerals and those that have lesser calorie content than the usual things you eat. And don’t you even worry on desserts –healthy food items have juicy and sweet fruits that can help sate your sweet tooth in the healthiest way possible!
