Marble is a rock which is a result from metamorphism of sedimentary c

arbonate rocks, most commonly limestone or dolomite rock. The process of metamorphism causes variable recrystallization of the original carbonate mineral grains found in vast amount in rock. The resulting marble rock which is termed as marble blocks

is typically composed of an interlocking mosaic of

carbonate crystals. Primary sedimentary textures and structures of the original carbonate rock which

were found earlier have typically been modified or destroyed.





White marble has been prized for its use

in sculptures since classical times. White Marble have now-a-days become Status

Symbol. Marble dust is combined with cement or synthetic resins to make cultures marble, which is

found in Western Oromia, is white in color processed in Addis Ababa and used for

decorating floors and walls.
