We are excited that you are interested in registering for the Grand National in San Marcos, Texas, on June 5–9, 2018! Before completing and mailing the registration/entry forms, please read the following instructions carefully. You may either detach the forms from your magazine or copy them and fill out by hand, or preferably download them from gn.cadillaclasalleclub.org and fill them out on your computer using Adobe Reader and printing out the completed forms.

The Event Registration Form should be mailed to the CLC Office with a check or money order for the total fees. Online registration is not available. A confirmation will be sent to you within two to three weeks. (International attendees: You may e-mail the forms and pay upon arrival at the CLC Grand National registration desk.)

Family registration: Each member who attends is required to pay the Family Registration Fee. This includes the active CLC member, spouse/partner, and any children under 18. Other friends/family members may attend with Club members, but must be registered as guests, and the Guest Registration Fee must be included for each. Please make sure to indicate the first and last name and city/state of residence for each guest.

Event registration will provide you with credentials that you must have in order to gain entrance to the Cadillac Welcome Reception/

CLCMRC Auction, Hospitality Suite, seminars, swap meet and car show. All other events/tours are to be paid for “a la carte.” Events/tours sell out quickly, so please submit registration and fees promptly! NOTE: Although the Cadillac Welcome Reception is FREE, please indicate the number of attendees, since tickets will be required for entry.

Each member is required to pay the Family Registration Fee, even if only attending the car show on Saturday. Family Registration Fees are based on the date the form is received.

2018 Grand National Event/Tour DescriptionsFor all events and tours, you must be preregistered and have the appropriate tour ticket to gain admission.

Most tours require a good amount of walking; we advise comfortable walking shoes and casual summer clothing. Texas can be extremely warm in the summer, so bring sunscreen, protective headgear, water and cameras. All buses are air-conditioned for your comfort.

TUESDAY, JUNE 5Hill Country Driving Tour—Get ready for rolling hills, a seat at the bar and a mag-nificent historical drive. We’ll head to Willie and Waylon’s favorite place—Luckenbach, Texas—and grab a bite to eat. Then on to LBJ’s Texas White House; stopping at Hye to visit Texas’ oldest distillery.

(Night) San Antonio Alamo and River Walk—Take a night tour through Texas’ renowned history and visit the Alamo. Then enjoy a cruise on the San Antonio River, enjoying the many sights along the way. Dinner is included.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6River Experience Driving Tour—We’re taking a drive that highlights all that beauti-ful Hill Country…ranch roads, wildlife and fabulous scenic views. We are also stopping at A&E Classics for a tour of its outstanding collection of classic vehicles.

(Day) San Antonio Alamo and River Walk Tour—Same as Tuesday evening tour, except lunch is included.

San Marcos Cars, Airplanes and Boats—Enjoy a day in San Marcos with a glass bottom boat ride across the artesian springs, then visit the Commemorative Air Force Museum, and end up at Dick’s Classic Car Garage.

Seventh Annual Gathering of the Cadillac Queens—Put on your best cow-girl duds and Join Marsha Redman and the other “Queens” for some time with just us girls. Kick off your heels and grab your boots for some good ol’ Texas fun. There might be even a cowboy or two. If you don’t have any cowgirl duds, come as you are. Remember, it ain’t the clothes that make the cowgirl, it’s the attitude and heart!

Cadillac Welcome Reception and CLC Museum Auction—Wednesday night is the complimentary Welcome Reception sponsored by Cadillac, followed by the annual CLCMRC Auction, a wonderful time to visit with old friends and make new ones. Plenty of food and cash bars available. (Dress code is business casual; please, no shorts, T-shirts or flip-flops.)

THURSDAY, JUNE 7Toyota Plant/Mission/Transportation Museum Tour—Join us at the Toyota manufacturing plant and see the latest tech-nology of how these vehicles are made. We’ll view the plastics shop that shows how criti-cal components are manufactured and see steel welded with state-of-the-art technology. We’ll move on to Mission San José and end up at the Texas Transportation Museum and see a working passenger railroad. A box lunch is provided.

Fredericksburg History and Landscape Tour—Traveling through the Central Texas Hill Country, we’ll drive through LBJ Ranch, see the famous Wildseed Farms, continuing through Fredericksburg, stopping at the Nimitz House and Museum and the National Museum of the Pacific War. There will be time for shopping on the square and lunch on your own.

(Day) San Antonio Alamo and River Walk Tour—Same as Tuesday evening tour, except lunch is included.

San Marcos Cars, Airplanes and Boats—Same as Wednesday tour.

A Capitol Experience in Austin—We’ll visit the granite Texas statehouse, which houses the Texas legislature and the office of the governor. It is the sixth tallest state capitol. Then, we are on to the Bob Bullock Museum to get a feel for the story of Texas. Lunch is included. The tour will end at the LBJ Presidential Library on the campus of The University of Texas.

CLC Museum & Research Center Board Meeting—Held after lunch, all CLCMRC board members are required to attend, and the meeting is open to all mem-bers who wish to attend.

Renowned Texas Barbecue Dinner—Nothing compares to the unique Texas experience of the Salt Lick’s world-renowned barbecue, with a side of Texas Hill Country hospitality. The family recipes have roots back to the wagon trains in the mid-1800s. Enjoy the warm atmosphere and deliciously prepared dinner around the campfire with some iced tea to cool you down!

FRIDAY, JUNE 8CLC National Board Meeting—Required of all CLC board members and open to all members who wish to attend.

Fredericksburg History and Landscape Tour—Same as Thursday tour.

CLC Judging Seminar—A judging seminar will be conducted by CLC National Chief Judge Bill Anderson in late afternoon and is required for all judges and tabulators participating in the Saturday car show.

(Evening) Texas Rodeo-Style Dinner—Come on down for the Texas experience (onsite at the Embassy Suites) you’ve been waiting for! Providing a true taste of Texas and its authentic Western heritage, we’ll have good Texas foods and all the fixin’s, and lots of action-packed fun. You will be amazed at the entertainment planned. And for your dancing and listening pleasure, the Brian Black Band (yes, Clint’s brother). Do not miss out on this one-of-a-kind evening!

SATURDAY, JUNE 9CLC Judges’ Breakfast—The Judges’ Breakfast starts the day bright and early. All judges and tabulators are required to attend for last-minute instructions. No charge to judges and tabulators.

Wimberley/Gruene Tour—We’ll take a stroll through Wimberley, with the natural beauty of the winding Blanco River and stunning views that call out to artists, musi-cians, writers and anyone seeking to escape city life. Lunch will be included, then we’ll head to Gruene to walk the square, where shopping, eating, wine tasting and more can be enjoyed.

Awards Banquet—The 2018 Grand National culminates Saturday night with the annual Awards Banquet. A cash bar begins the evening, followed by dinner of choice, then the awards presentations. Dress code for tonight is business casual. Please no shorts, T-shirts or flip-flops!

There are several tech seminars scheduled, and the times and rooms will be posted in the registration area. Also, indoor and out-door flea markets along with a car corral are available for your pleasure. Chapter and committee meetings will be held throughout the week in designated rooms posted in the registration area.

The Hospitality Room will be open Tuesday through Friday.
