Year 9 visit to University of the West of England 23 Yr 9 students aended a Raising Aspiraons event at UWE on Monday. Students aended a variety of workshops and learnt about Apprenceships & Higher Educaon opportunies. Employers were also on hand to discuss what they looked for in employees. Year 11 Food & Nutrion Year 11 Food & Nutrion students are busy working hard on their second NEA assignment which is worth 35 % of their final GCSE. Students have pro- duced trial recipes looking at healthy eang across a variety of different cui- sines. Flavoursome dishes included chicken goujons with homemade bread- crumbs and a tasty chicken and vegetable sr fry. BCA SEND Department In term 4 a group of students will have a regular visit to Horseworld in Bristol where they will learn about the wide range of skills and the temperament needed to work with horses, as well as different aspects of horse care. Students will have the chance to ride during the final session. Year 8 Technology Year 8 Technology students have been researching healthy eang over the last two terms and have produced some wonderful, creave outcomes including sugar free digesves and rainbow pizzas.
