SPECIAL ANNOUNCMENT from the iLearning

Hot-Spot ************************** 1st grade has now completed OVER 10,000 lessons in the DREAMBOX math program!!! This is an average of 83 completed math lessons per student so far this school year! WAY TO GO 1st grade! I am so proud of you! Keep working hard…. Let’s reach 20,000 before Christmas break! Also… Parents, as you know 2nd-5th grades work on the RM City math program in their I Learning Hot Spot class. By October 14th (end of 1st quarter) they should have 25% completion of their program. Every quarter of the school year students must increase their completion by 25% to keep them on track. Their goal is to finish 100% of the program by end of year with 85% accuracy or higher. 75% completion earns them MATH MASTER Status! 100% completion earns them the GENIE GENIUS title! ******************** Our first IA testing for math and reading are taking place Tuesday and Wednesday. Please make sure our child is well rested and is at school on time. Students will be allowed to wear storybook character costumes on October 28th for Halloween. They cannot be bloody or scary. Candy or treats are not allowed on campus and will be returned to the parent if

brought. We will be hosting our Fall Festival on October 28th. Grade levels may request donations to help fundraise for their field lessons. Please be sure to have your child in the correct uniform. Everyone should be wearing the blue polo, khaki flat front pants or shorts, white socks, black belt, and all black shoes.

Dear Parents, We are excited to announce that we have partnered with BlueWave Express Car Wash in an effort to raise funds for our school. Our fundraiser will begin Wednesday, October 12th and will officially end on Friday, December 9th. BlueWave Express Car Wash has allowed us to sell their one year basic program for only $100.00. This plan consists of one basic car wash per week for 52 weeks. The plan is valued at $312.00, however it can be purchased from our students for only $100.00. Once all money is collected and turned in, we will provide you with a certificate to issue the buyer. The certificate can be claimed at any BlueWave Express Car Wash in the Rio Grande Valley. All orders and money should be kept in the collection envelope provided. Please make all checks out to “IDEA Academy Weslaco”. We appreciate your help in making this fundraiser a success.
