Outliving the NPPSustainability of our projects is at the core of our project

How will your products and services outlive the NPP funding?

• Services are to be part of ‘every day practice’• Equipment has been bought and not hired or borrowed

Quote from Speech Therapist in Scotland “we now view VC as a routinely used tool/option to deliver our service”

How did you plan this with your partners?

• A transnational sub-group was set up for each demonstrator project.

• Transnational knowledge exchange – relationships which will continue beyond the life of the project

When did you start implementing a sustainability?

• THE START - Each ‘business case’ looked into sustainability of the demonstrator project before it was implemented

Outliving the NPPWhat were the main points of your sustainability plan that led to your success?

• Creating business cases and having them evaluated by a transnational group of experts (ITAS)

• Results are being collated from all partner countries for evaluation and dissemination throughout project partnership area and beyond

• Evaluation of the services will provide evidence to inform Policy Makers and to sustain and grow the service

What are the good practices and lessons learnt that will help other projects to become successful?

• Don’t underestimate the planning involved. Implementing a new service requires winning the hearts and minds of, in our case, the health service as well as overcoming IT issues and organisational issues.
