• Increased no. of – Joint public-private activities in promoting trade and investment – Users of each CCI database and website– Inter-CCIs T&I promotion events (At least 50% of the
participating CCIs continue trade and investment promotion activities after the end of this project)
– No.of business network developed• Level of satisfaction of members of each CCI on its
performance and services• Demonstrated capacity of
– Private Enterprises and Logistic Providers in complying with CBTA requirements
– Custom Officials at each cross border in facilitating CBTA Fast Track, SSI, SWI, SEZs
Outputs
• Improved cooperation/relationship (among decision makers and senior officials of CCIs, Bas and concerned provincial authorities)
• Key personnel of CCIs are able to – apply newly acquired knowledge, skills and practical experiences– use of the project research findings and recommendations to
improve policies and services

Scope of work• Cover 11 key cities/towns along EWEC
– MM :Myewaddy– TH : Maesot, Phitsanulok, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan– LAOS : Savannakhet, Dansawanh, – Vietnam : Lao Bao, Dong Ha, and Da Nang.
• Beneficiaries :Private Sector: •Provincial CCI•Federation of Industries•SME Association
Public Sector: •Provincial Department of Commerce•Department of Industry•Department of SME Promotion
Project Components:
• Major activities include:
– Executive Seminars/Policy Dialogues, Structured Learning Visits and networking events for Decision Makers Group
– A series of capacity building programs for Core Group of key staff of CCIs and SME associations
– Sub-regional researches – Business information system, database and
exchange.

each level based on their roles• • This study will be focused on 9 elements which are understanding,
skills, access to information & technology, on job knowledge, knowledge toward the EWEC, management structure, process & procedures, relationship with others and legal & regulations addressed behind 3 different dimensions which are Human Resource Development, Organizational Development and Institutional Development
• RESEARCH METHOD• By using Questionnaire & In-depth-interview consist of 3 main parts which are
– PART 1 :
• questionnaire• deliver to every level of staffs/authorities in the organization in advance together with formal cover letter• includes list of questions about general information e.g. gender, education, language & computer skills, position, department, job description and personal CBN
– PART 2 :
• Questionnaire & interview• deliver to only middle and top level. Send in advance but separate sheet with the 1 st part• includes list of questions about organization information e.g. vision, mission and strategy• After we get questionnaire back we may interview them for more information
– PART 3 :
• Interview • Only for top level (or middle level in case of being representative of the top level)• Questions consist of 2 main parts.
– The 1st part is about organization role : consist of 5 categories which are• Business Information providing• Service & Assistant to develop trade & investment in their specific area• Promote & encourage of bilateral trade & investment + events & networking opportunities• Enhance capacity of membership• Support & promote trade & investment to EWEC
– The 2nd part is about institutional : asking about organization registration, rule & restrictions and rights of them

• For Lao P.D.R. :• Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry• Thai-Laos Association (But this association is not located on Savannakhet or Dansawan)
• For Myanmar :• Myawaddee CCI (no website)• UMFCTI (Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry)
